After a very quick rudimentary search on pinging and triangulation. 2008 is considered primeval for this technology. Pinging is only possible if cell user is gps enabled. This was 2005. Did anyone have gps on their phones then?

He said this happened at 2:45. The bus driver, who has no reason to lie, said they didn't get dropped off until 3:30. You would think she'd remember if her route was 45 minutes early! that day.

Of the Murderer's Row lineup of most punchable people ever: Steve, first for killing the cat, all the cops deposed, especially every "i do not recall," the tracer, the judges, the weeping "investigator," dumb Calumet cop II, chipper, incompetent DNA lady. Christ I don't have the patience to list them all.

There's more evidence of criminal police corruption and judicial misconduct than the prosecution's narrative of Avery's guilt.

Worthy-mention: The 2nd Calumet cop testifying is probably the most unintentionally funny testimony I've ever heard, even in a piece of fiction. I bet he was never in on the joke either.

Yeah, it was so underplayed, when the cop mentioned the car's color after the plates on the recording. It was a true, ta-da: smoking gun moment. Was it lost on the jury? Did the filmmakers do that intentionally to highlight that fact. Like in the Staircase, how the defense was exasperated that their world renown

She contends the police wouldn't let her see him/be present. But yeah, her vocabulary isn't too much better, but she still grasped the severity of the situation. Tragic. Overall, she's still sympathetic.

You are consistent in judging things before you ever read/witness/watch them. That's commendable, I guess.

Three (1 female, 2 males) friends and I went to have lunch and a few* drinks while watching a game we were supposed to attend. We only watched it to prove* we went. We had run up about $50 each on one tab. Our bartender and server informed us she was wearing her special "bitchy" pants when we first ordered, so she was

you seem to have some reasonable doubts.

Oh, and thanks Mr Modell for making me not question my sanity this week for your opening two paragraphs. Seriously, how could anyone watch those interrogations and think, "Bam! Got our guy!"?

Ok, police detectives and district attorneys are not stupid. They have a modicum of intelligence. Yeah, a lot of cops are just plain dumb, but these are a few steps above them. And, not to shit on all cops: there were a few officers in these travesties to justice that acted competently, professionally, and

Lucy was cheating on him and it was obvious the morning of the dam bursting.

oh yeah, i remember the wiki page after that episode. like i've been saying all season, i'm just gonna rewatch the whole series before another "prestige" show starts up.

Clearly, I like his writing, but am disappointed he didn't write about it this season or consider it for his year end pieces.

im interested in any interpretations… especially considering only about 18 people on this hemisphere evidently watch this show.

ok, points taken. i checked out the links. they do crunch a lifetime of data. i think it's good for getting an idea, but doesn't show half the story, for that, you just gotta watch games. football is an emotional sport (defense obv more so).

The more I digest it, the more mysteries remain. It's akin to the Big Bang: ok, there's a model for what it was like when there was a singularity, and the first few moments of rapid expansion, and then everything else lines into place. but it doesn't answer the philosophical or practical origin questions that persist.

if you know how it plays out, you should watch it even more so. i thought I knew the story and have heard the gossip around it for a decade. goddamn media. i didn't know shit.

not to spoil anything, but the story just goes beyond Kafka, and no i wouldn't pledge allegiance to the man. i think one of the main points of the series is that he and especially his nephew never had a chance whether they were guilty or innocent. regardless of guilt, the system was/is corrupt.
