I like the Belkin surge protector with 2 USB ports, but the directly linked version has 1A ports. This is fine for most things, but for things that can handle 2.1A, there is another (and more expensive) version available. Make sure you choose the 2.1A version.

You can purchase the Chromecast at target for $23 for in-store pickup.

I know. I saw it in the original article as well.

If you can live without the software the WD 4TB MyBook comes with, the WD 4TB Elements is a few dollars cheaper at $109.

I know it's required in the state of New Jersey. Always fun (in the last few years of my last rental) to get a check for about a dollar in interest, or to get a notice that my rent for a month was a dollar or so cheaper.

Note: The Nikon D610 listed is a gray market unit, it does not carry a manufacturers warranty.

At BJ's, I have picked up America's Test Kitchen cookbooks at prices comparable to or below Amazon. Since Amazon charges sales tax in my state (and I would pay the use tax anyway), BJ's comes out ahead for that.

Sweet potato gnocchi, waffled hash browns, using the waffle iron as a panini press, steak, shrimp wontons, waffled banana bread, smoreffles.

I found the book "Will It Waffle?" over the weekend. Very interesting read and 53 recipes to try.

Also good: You can pick up from their warehouse in NJ, often the same day. If you're making a large purchase and don't want to trust it to FedEx or UPS and can drive there, you're good.

Tough to say. DDR4 is a separate pin layout, so as the manufacturers move to DDR4 production, supply of DDR3 will start to dry up. It might drop for a short while to clear out inventories, but when inventories become scarce, DDR3 prices will go up.

You might want to hold off on the 840 EVO SSD. It's a good price, but there is a firmware issue being worked out at present. Apparently, data that is older than about 1 month is very slow to read compared to the normal SSD speeds.
