The rocket launcher was definitely a big *wink wink* that "All Out War" is coming.
Chris Hardwick says stuff like "that was so awesome and bad*ss" and has humility, while remaining professional, but having joy as a fan.

I feel like AV Club this year is trying to go for objective reviews that compare to all standard tv, trying to get away from diehard fan type reviews, but for me it has failed. "Ya, know our Dr. Wells may have been evil… but you'reeeee just a d*ck"
Come to think of it The Flash with Harrison Wells actually being the Flash's nemesis Eobard Thawne was executed very well in this respect.
I would hope and think the way they shoot episodes that for all the time in makeup he spent and as good as it looked they would of shot some future scenes for other eps with him all done up.
