I hate when mp has posts like this and people dismiss it by saying something about a huge international issue and why isn't Jezebel talking about that. No the issues aren't equal but you shouldn't use one to dismiss the other.

But it doesn't kick in right away. I was maced at a security job and had 10 minutes before it kicked in. My attacker also got a good dose since I was able to shield half my face. In that time She was able to get away.
Nope. Trust when I say it is a false sense of security. Mace doesn't work immediately and it ends up in your face/eyes too even if you are careful and that is if you accidentally end up with it in your own face instead of your attackers.
So much yes.
