@zeytin: Future Mr Banana was the same way about the fact that I couldn't go with to pick out the ring. I had a picture or two and wanted a 3 stone ring [future, past, and present] with my mom's diamond.

@NefariousCAT: My ring was made by the family jeweler. Everything is a luxury item and a social status symbol.

@NefariousCAT: Well yes but he got a larger diamond than what I or anyone would have expected. We had a discussion before the engagement about how I really didn't care about diamonds. It was very important for him.

I agree. It was more important to Future Mr Banana that I have a diamond. It is a statement for the men about their own social status. For every compliment I get about my ring I can see his contentment.

People behind them are texting "OMG i m nxt 2 jLo n sum dude."

@Abra: I was thinking the same thing about my dad. I would probably get a story about this "crazy lady" at the game later and read about it in the tabloids.

@snacktastic: True. They do slight tweaks in the clothing and everything is A-okay.

@motownpacific: Ditto. I had trouble buying corn meal because I refuse to buy it with that on it.

This is making me drool.

@cate3710: I feel the same way. I think it is actually a very liberal idea to provide financial support for something outside of direct employment.

I have no problem with the dating service idea. Only if it is offered to men also.

@SUNNY1: I didn't even notice that. It looks like a pig though and there is already the ox.

@PaintedTrollop: I don't know what you are talking about. Sexism died with racism.

Does Chloe Sevigny know what "timeless" means?

I love when racism is so subversively existant a person can boycott a business like oh, I don't know, a Jamaican restaurant.

I feel like everyone had to chose either a beautiful/flattering silhoutte or beautiful fabric but not both.
