@SarahMC: That is pretty insulting and narrow-minded of you. I believe in God and I pray to God.

This just reminds me of how much I loved when my mom asked me to go grocery shopping with her. I felt like such a responsible adult.

God, grant me the serenity

How come no one has similar problems with people holding up signs, protesting naked, and painting themselves with black paint? I'm honestly asking because neither is cleaning up the Gulf.

@JinxyMcDeath: I thought the same thing when I read it. I can not go through the perfume section of department stores without getting a headache but there are many better ways to handle this.

Charles Mudede is a great father to empower his daughter.

@Penny: It is so true. Side note: Future Mr Banana's cousin's son loves Cinderella and his parent's are great. They got him a Cinderella tea set.

Imagine if Cosmo or even Vogue had no advertisements? Would they have any content?

@lollilove: Yes. They are not role models but somehow women have made them into that. I don't think one is the cause of the other but I do now see they are both similarly seen as these role models when their story is really tragic.

I think this is lesbians through a heterosexual man's lens.

@voteforme: I'm saying I do not think romance when I think Holly Golightly. I agree both are style icons and they are the inspiration for many young women who wish to move to New York but I do not see how Holly Golightly and Carrie Bradshaw are similar in any other ways or how Holly Golightly can be considered

My not so secret love has returned.

I always thought of Holly Golightly as a tragic character. I don't think people are aware or think of Carrie Bradshaw as a tragic character. Carrie Bradshaw is discussed as the epitome of single, independent, woman. Not that I agree with this label but isn't that what Carrie Bradshaw represents for most. Isn't

@ericacartman: They are concerned about women who view Samantha Jones as a role model. There are women who do make decisions based on SATC and live their lives accordingly. I'm not saying it is right or logical but I'm pointing out there are women out there wearing shirts that say "I'm a Samantha."
