VR porn aside (because... why?), this is the attitude that makes me not like Apple. They just fundamentally don’t think that the devices you buy are really yours. They still see them as extensions of their own marketing.

A large majority of the most popular streamers are the ones that got in on a particular platform early.  Very few are unique or highly talented, and it’s extremely difficult to break through on a mature platform.

Yikes, does something this self-evident really need to be explained to people? If so, let me add that Wonka has already made $150 mil globally, and is on pace to make more globally than The Marvels by, likely, a hefty amount. It will be more successful irrespective of budgets.

Epic: Apple and Google are so greedy for charging so much to be on their storefronts

$20 for a “rare” car is still ridiculous. For the life of me i can’t believe people are actually paying this much for 1 item in a video game.

The practice of forcing you to buy fixed amounts should be illegal. It is the definition of artifical.

Spencer seems like an okay dude but I would bet money this data is fabricated, either by adjusting backend data or he literally has an intern that plays on his account for him.

Free Fortnite!

“Victory over Google!” Epic CEO Tim Sweeney tweeted yesterday. “After 4 weeks of detailed court testimony, the California jury found against the Google Play monopoly on all counts. The Court’s work on remedies will start in January. Thanks for everyone’s support and faith! Free Fortnite!”

Great. Tim Sweeney is going to be even more insufferable now.

I would have done that too but the judge told me to stop.

They’ll just regurgitate whatever Elon shat in their mouths about it.

They really should be taken to court for this. Licenses expiring is a common thing in digital distribution. The solution is to pull the licensed content from the store, not user libraries. That’s been the standard practice for games, I don’t see why it should be any different for movies or TV shows.

$30.

That is the price the expansion should be, no more. Cosmetic packages should be a completely separate thing not tied to the expansion.

No

Watching the clips from this interview, and by the way have to give props to Sorkin how he handled the questioning, it feels painfully clear that Musk hasn’t been an environment where someone challenges his answers in a long while. He just seemed stymied when Sorkin had a follow-up question and the crowd wasn’t

Reading about it doesn’t do it justice so I encourage everyone to watch some video clips and take note of how Musk is constantly looking out into the audience after every comment, desperately seeking any kind of approval. It’s quite sad and pathetic. He never started from a good baseline anyway, but you can see how

Because it’s a single player game and over time people become done with them and move onto other stuff? And it also didn’t review as well as their previous games and less people are into it.

Not everything is a live service, it’s ok to be done with a game.

Do not buy products based around a celebrity who is famous for a skill completely irrelevant to the product being sold. Ever.

I have no comment regarding the duplicate nature or alleged re-branding of an existing product as I don’t know about that, irrespective of how suspiscious it seems.
