Didn't know there were any projected releases from them. Good to know.

Certainly is!

Listening to The Shirelles a lot lately, I've decided that "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" is the greatest of all '60s girl group anthems.

Took me a while, but I got it eventually.

Someone understands me? *Wipes tear away*

Oh, sorry. I'm just very single-minded in my enthusiasm for Kazaam. Perhaps to a fault, Natalie. Perhaps to a fault.

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même Mohd.

Was it a vial of Dr. Emoto's emotional water?

Changing whose race? I won't hear of Kazaam being other than of African extract. Much like James Bond, the vision of his creator must remain sacred and inviolate in all respects. All of the action in both of those is clearly indexical to, and proceeds inextricably from, their respective racial identities.

My biggest pop culture disappointment of the year was realizing the Shazam reboot wasn't a Kazaam reboot.

Agree, though I'd say all of them, personally.

Marquee Moon is so great. I heartily recommend both Adventure and the eponymous 1992 album. I'm also a big fan of Verlaine's solo output in the '80s of which The Miller's Tale is a fine sampler. Also check out Live at the Old Waldorf, 1978.

Dude, are you being sarcastic?

Wayne Shorter is still going strong, too. Without a Net was one of my favourite albums of last year. On the subject of hard bop, I was little disappointed there was no notice of Horace Silver's death this year, he being one of its leading lights along with Art Blakey.

This was pretty good!

Good survey. The Sim version is my clear favourite as well and the scenes of him seeing himself as a young man with his sister never fail to bring me to tears.

Did he? Maybe he meant it as a compliment.

Chet Haze needs that money so as he and his homies can make beats.

Glad to see reference made to Bean Bunny who I've always felt has been woefully underappreciated.

GOOD. You can go suck an egg. Or an orbeez for that matter.
