Hey everyone! I’m the lucky driver being overtaken by the S2K! I got one of the first cars from McLaren and didn’t waste time putting some miles on it. Before I had to leave the US I put 1600 miles on the car road tripping it from Monterey to LA and back and to SF and back to Monterey. Then I did the double track day…

Have had similar experiences at Laguna Seca on motorcycle. I thought I was doing ok,and one of the track pros passed me like I was going backwards and he was riding 2-up! He had a bike prepped for taking passengers on demo rides and he passed me in turn 4 going at least 40mph faster than me.
I didn’t have any delusions…

It wasn’t only a kick in 2015. Fenati has had a history of being hot-headed, reckless, and show blatant disregard for his fellow riders. I’m glad he’s been dropped by his team and MV Agusta will also try to nullify his contract for next year. He’s far too dangerous for the sport.

I got rear ended by a woman who was on her phone. She got out, didn’t want to call the cops... or give me her info... or anything. Just wanted to leave. She hit me hard enough that he radiator was cracked and leaking fluid and my bumper was hanging on by only a single clip. No airbags luckily.

Thank you. You probably remember when commenter, .357, gave out “girlie” COTD awards but with no car. When he was no longer with Jalopnik, I took over, but added a pertinent car.

Toyota Camry Hybrid exacerbating your allergy symptoms?

I rode a LiveWire bike in 2014 and loved it. The look, the feel, the performance, hell even the handling exceeded my expectations. I’m against electrification of vehicles (at least as they exist today) but I was sold on how wonderful the LiveWire was.

My concern today is the same as it was then. How much will it cost?…

I think you’re forgetting that the factory Zonda had a split rear wing with aluminum struts holding it out on the ends. He just replaced those aluminum struts with plexi plates. I don’t think it looks any less “half-baked” than the originals.
