Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos!

I never played hockey, and only recently got back into it, so I don’t have as strong a grasp as I do other sports; but, I thought as long as a player is not involved in the play and within a reasonable area of getting off the ice, it wasn’t technically a penalty under the rule book? Or is this an unwritten rule of

I don’t disagree that plenty of people may be using the symbol for its racist connotations, but I do remember my yearbook having quite a few photos with the gesture back in 2004-2008.

I’m 29 and played it all through middle/high/college. Up until recently when I saw friends from home we’d occasionally still do it as a joke. It also made the rounds on reddit where it was hidden within a meme.

A few “friends” of mine were hired by yellowpages or some other phone book company about 8 years ago to make deliveries. They drove to a wooded area and chucked all the phone books, reporting deliveries over the next few days. Not a single person reported missing their annual nuisance (I think they were outed when

Like the electronic plate readers on many highways now.

I have a natural sense of direction and was always able to inherently read a map as well. Same with my brother and, during her lifetime, my mother. My wife, on the other hand, while incredibly smart, hard working, and diligent, cannot find her way with or without assistance. It creates anxiety when she has to go

You were so close to being correct and then you added a final dumb thought.

I’m 29 and used a phone book when I was younger, but I think you’re guess is spot on.

Exactly! I know this has been mentioned on numerous sports talk shows and in plenty of articles, but the recent one I remember was Nick Wright saying he supports a replay that requires the refs to watch it in real time a limited number of times. Still can’t tell? Call stands. The rules were designed under the premise

Very happy to have found this comment. I don’t have more than a basic understanding of statistics and this article seemed like it wanted to find a result to me. This is where wordsmithing comes in to play. When the data shows a result opposite of the hypothesis, it’s characterized as “14 teams seem to reduce 911 dials

Obvious troll is obvious.

Again, the taco take is spot on. Also, and this may be obvious, but I am a New Yorker making this argument solely because you proved something about my hometown inferior. You are now comparing the Mexican American population of the entire LA MSA to ONLY Brooklyn to prove your point... you don’t want to get into a dick

I find the NJ point infuriating. Do we call the Niners the Santa Clara 49ers? Or how about the Landover Redskins? “The only NY football team is the [Orchard Park] Bills!”  New York means the NY metro area, which certainly encompasses East Rutherford NJ.

I mentioned this above, and don’t mean to keep pointing it out...but, while the access and variety of the city are unparalleled, I don’t ALWAYS need them.  I moved away about 10 years ago, and I still love visiting, but I also love leaving.

Your point on tacos is well taken, but your statement on population is way off. LA is about 4 million people, 31.9% are of Mexican descent (couldn’t find specifically 1st/2nd generation stats, but we can use the whole amount) so about 1.28 million people. Brooklyn alone has about 2.65 million people.

The variety and access are nice, but I don’t ALWAYS need that endless access. I love going back to visit, but I also love leaving.

But I can pretty much guarantee the real reason the Capital One cafes exist is so that the bank can skirt local zoning and/or tax laws and have a branch classified as a “restaurant” instead of what it really is.

Three years and out wouldn’t be so bad if Netflix had seasons that were the episode length of old. 3 seasons back in the day would’ve meant like 60 episodes! That being said, I remember reading an article (maybe the one cited above, can’t remember) about Netflix’s model of not going past 3 seasons when this third

Completely agree, I also like to make as few trips between car and home so I prefer to bag so I can get as much stuff into as few bags. I’ve had cashiers tell me “don’t worry about it, I’ll bag em.” No the fuck you won’t.

Old injury prone players? Judge, Severino, Andujar, Hicks, Stanton, and Betances don’t seem to fit that profile. Some of the injuries are certainly age/injury proneness(?) related (i.e., Tulo, Bird, Ellsbury, maybe even Sanchez), but the core group of injured players are young guys with barely more than a littering
