I think she was in a no-win situation. He wouldn't have agreed to separate from his mom at that point, and they needed her help to bring back vehicles. I think she just hoped for the best.

There have been moments in previous episodes, but this one was heavily concentrated.

If you read the reviewers reviews for this season so far, he's happy with the show until it doesn't do exactly what he predicts.

On its own, sure. The gunshot to take out Carl's eye was part of the comic book storyline, and is apparently a turning point for him. I think the actual scene was little more than an immediate catalyst for Rick's freak-out that shortly followed.

"They're zombies, and you are giving them critical thinking skills. It's been established they are attracted to light and noise. Enough already."

It seems that, in action-packed episodes like this, there are small flashbacks that help explain exactly how this or that happens in subsequent episodes.

I wouldn't cry if he died, but it seems he's growing into a warrior of sorts.

The fire was mainly to draw them to one spot. They said that in the show.

I've mainly said it was largely a diversion. The shot pans out and shows a large number turning and heading toward the fire. Then it shows a lot of them walking into the lake.

The story is told that it grazed his face and bone fragment from his outer socket took the eye out. That was the explanation in the Talking Dead.

Literally 3-4 episodes prior, the group that kidnapped Darryl stated they used the fuel truck to burn a bunch of walkers, and then the fire attracted more - they just walked into it and burned.

The next morning it seemed like they took care of most of the zombies. It's possible they fired a couple more off when they had a big enough crowd in the lake, but it just wasn't shown.

Ignoring basic science because you think your idea would work. Yeah, that's stupid.

Jesus you're stupid.

So start a fire on top of things that will explode. Brilliant plan.

THE ROCK QUARRY WOULD HAVE EXPLODED AND DRAWN MORE ZOMBIES IN.

Like how are you going to set fire to the zombies? A match? Does a person spontaneously combust when a match is thrown on them? You do need a fuel source to cause them to burn. They did not have the gasoline at the time.

You are ignoring very basic things.

It did in the case where they specifically stated "this is what killed them," and then they used that method again.

Without fuel they couldn't have started a fire. They didn't get the fuel until this episode.
