I’m going to go ahead and agree with you about Lexus service. My dad has had a slew of Mercedes, BMWs, Audis, and one Lexus. He had a Lexus GS400 that was a wonderful car. Whenever it needed anything, he got a loaner, and service with a smile. Audi’s service was somewhere between horrible and miserable (the Audi

Someone should make a website that tracks the effectiveness of politicians.

What do you mean unfortunately...those places with the exceptions NEEEEEED the higher limit, otherwise you’d be totally fucked when you try to get anywhere.

It seems like the part of the compensation was moving the businesses to the Bronx. If the city isn’t going to follow up on that promise/compensation then they have no right to move the businesses.

Robert Moses is someone who did both great, and horrible things. I think that his vision for an entirely automobile focused future was wrong, as was the wanton destruction and degradation of neighborhood services under his watch.

The problem is, when the govt uses eminent domain, they owe them at least something.

The city has a history of promising things in exchange for concessions on development, and then never following through on their promise. Take Bushwick Inlet Park...that’s a prime example of the city’s bait-and-switch tactics.
