@Pwnage: there is an option to have Google Voice (GV) not send texts to your mobile #. So the only texts you would pay for is outgoing messages.

@pozan.kyle: Yea surrree. Apple strategically does this to keep you in its update cycle. Jailbroken iPhone have been doing this for a long time.

@seven5suited: I think the whole Slingbox idea is a service. The desktop clients are totally free. The $30 is a one time fee that in the long run saves you a lot of money. If you only have one TV in the house then this isnt for you.

@BeyondtheTech: You have to initiate a voice call to start a FaceTime session.

@sinfire: You have to an AT&T signal to initiate a FaceTime call. Once the FaceTime connection has been made the cell signal drops off and all data is transferred via wifi. This how Apple can make FaceTime so "easy". Your mobile number is somehow in the background being hooked up with FaceTime infrastructure.

Yellow Pages isn't going anywhere until plumbers stop paying $3500+/month for a full page color ad.
