You watch too many movies.  If police draw a weapon, they intend to disable or kill you to stop whatever threat you pose.  They don’t shoot out tires.  They don’t shoot the gun out of someone’s hand.  They don’t shoot people in the leg. In high stress, high risk situations, they go for the quickest, surest target.  If

Suspects always panic and try to run, that is cop 101. They are not thinking that clearly. Your response is pure Hollywood Coppery.

I’m no law enforcement professional, but whatever happened to the “shoot out the tires” strategy? Even if it’s lame, it’s better than shooting the woman dead!

Cops are supposed to use lethal force to protect people. Who was he protecting here? Himself, it seems, because by shooting the driver, he made the car more dangerous for everyone else.

Even if she was driving towards him, how is shooting her makes this situation any better? Instead of a car barreling towards him, the cop now has an out of control car barelling towards him.

I’m old enough to remember when judge, jury, executioner was simply an idiom.

If the cop could have stepped to the side and let the car pass, then this was a needless shooting. Fucking step to the side, pick the suspect up later at a more secure time. This was a stupid escalation, brought on by a hollywood level understanding of public safety. Fuck the stupid cops.

Whatever you say dude.

$20 says this was taken from a valet station; you don’t have to have skill when you have keys!

And he was the comfiest criminal of all.

The actor’s strike is really starting to take its toll.

All I wanna know is how he planned to fence a RR.

I disagree. He obviously got Free Parking.

Higgins:Stop. Whatever you are doing, stop it.

what the hell is this on the monterey slideshow

The sumptuous elegance and quiet, smooth ride takes a lot of stress out of running from the man.

Damn. It looks like The Monopoly Guy is back on the cocaine again.

Would’ve lost em’ sooner in a Ghost

Hey when you need Grey Poupon you NEED it.

Huh, I guess it really does cut the mustard (Grey Poupon of course) as a getaway car.
