You might want to rethink these thoughts now that The Golden Knights are in a spot to become the first expansion team ever to sweep a first round in the Stanley Cup Playoffs! 

Nothing against the people who choose to do this. But it is really sad that people want to pay for fake and temporary companions. I weep for society.

I agree. I was somewhat interested in Overwatch, but not for 60 bucks for a online area shooter with no single player component. But I got Paladins for 0 dollars and been having lots of fun. When Overwatch comes down in price then maybe I will get it.
