That’s one of the difficulties in having a frank conversation around this topic. A million caveats have to be thrown out because you never know who’s waiting to pounce on something taken out of context.

She’s fine in some of her indie stuff. Welcome to Me, Girl Most Likely, and Skeleton Twins were all fine. But since this is a comicbook movie, and the most successful ones have been funny, I don’t want her in it.

Also, it’s a fucking religion. Which one of those, at some point in history, wasn’t problematic? None of them get a pass from me. I’m not trying to single out or impugn Hinduism here, I’d be arguing this if it was somehow Christian or Islamic “appropriation.”

Probably just an excuse to get away from his wife and drink beers.

Coming off of BP and The Crew, I was so pumped for Priest’s Cap and Falcon.

Wouldn’t grounding prevent shocks? *pedantic laugh*

“But there’s kind of a sad inevitability in having to prepare for what could be the final end for the show that laid the groundwork for Marvel Studios’ journey to TV. At least we do know the show is preparing for the worst, but hopefully, SHIELD will live on to fight another season.”

Also crazy that Stu Rutherford, one of the guys who developed the lighting technique, is the human friend Stu from What We Do in the Shadows!

I loved the movie overall, but was disappointed with how things went with Skurge. Especially when they got the great Karl Urban to play him.

Such a shame too. Pak did great stuff with Hulk, Cho (and Hercules) but seems to have run out of steam.

Yeah it was real bad. I think my all time winner for sequelitis is Men In Black II. Did you think Frank the pug was funny in his one scene in the first movie?

Don’t talk to me or my sapling ever again

*Cue Drax not understanding the term “full of shit” and saying Gunn is made up of mostly of carbon, not excrement

Sorry, I was more referencing Drax’s unreasonable disgust.

Ew, she’s so ugly.

I actually like Iron Man 3 a fair bit. I get why others (most) don’t, and I do have my problems with it, but I think it was one of the first steps into the modern MCU.

I almost forgot about the goddamn Drax laugh track. So cringeworthy, especially since Bautista’s turned into a pretty capable actor and delivered some good, nuanced, moments in the film; probably in spite of the directing.

It felt a little self-indulgent. Like Gunn wrote a first draft and called it good enough. Some of the jokes don’t work, or get dragged out too long. Yeah, Taserface is a dumb name. We get it.

The kind of white that pronounces it “Hwhite.”

Then it’s okay, bruv.
