Did you ever read those reviews? That they pointed out and criticized the gratuitious sexual assault and violence? "Bashing" the show that is a simploed to the point of remedial adaptation of a very complicated series of books?

Okay, as much as I loved this show and followed bits about Season Three, I really enjoyed and was surprised by how well the casting of Jekyll works. And his introduction - there were quite a few shots of hm with one half of his face in darkness, and just the fact they racebended and how that ties in with the whole…

And somehow, somehow they made him tolerable and sympathetic. Mostly.
