"But that's just how it was back then."
It isn't about him going through with it or not - it's redundant "shocking" storytelling because we apparently are too thickheaded to get that Ramsay's so bad.
Did you ever read those reviews? That they pointed out and criticized the gratuitious sexual assault and violence? "Bashing" the show that is a simploed to the point of remedial adaptation of a very complicated series of books?
"This is not to say that Game Of Thrones doesn’t have a Meereen problem, because it does: the political situation [everywhere in the show] still remains murky, talked about more than seen, and I don’t know if the show has really given us enough reasons to care about [anyone]."

Thank you! I disagree with you regarding the overall effect of an episode, but thank you a thousand times over for nipping this in the bud.

That's fair! I'm just, if they are able to match the quality of the introduction …. /fans self

Also, Ferdinand Lyle is everything.
I know people have theorized that Sweet might be big daddy D, but that seems too pat. Bit it is possible!
It was an awesome moment.
Yup, that was Hecate from Season Two.
The air was super thick with tension.
Okay, as much as I loved this show and followed bits about Season Three, I really enjoyed and was surprised by how well the casting of Jekyll works. And his introduction - there were quite a few shots of hm with one half of his face in darkness, and just the fact they racebended and how that ties in with the whole…
And somehow, somehow they made him tolerable and sympathetic. Mostly.
Please make this happen.
There's an audio book with Tim Curry as Van Helsing and Alan Cummings as Seward. Very well done!
It's so worth it.
I know. I rewatched and my heart jumps every time. What might have been…
