Additionally, if I recall, she didn't lay in bed covered with bruises (which she would have received via the beatings we see in KL at the hands of Meryn Grant, for example), nor did she vent her impotent rage of beaten, broken people. In fact, she saved Ser Dontos' life.
Lowest point is a quote from the "inside the episode" of the episode, direct from producers.
I'm waiting for the reveal of how it was totally justified narrative choice. Followup. Or so I hear, that we're so going to get.
Which didn't involve Wights or White Walkers raping people!
Apparently there is a maximum for advisors. First it was Irri and Doreah and Jorah. Then Irri Doreah died, so we got Barristan and Missendel, then Daario came in so Jorah got the boot. Now Tyrion, so Barristan had to go.

Fair 'nuff
Beema, I watch the show for stuff like what was in this episode. I don't watch it for lazy and offensive rape tropes. But at the same time, I completely understand and support those that quit watching, because I know it's a matter of time before the next blunder, and I don't feel like the Sansa scene justified the…
That's an insult to Xena.
Honestly, there feels like a lot of context that knowledge of the books add to parts of the show, and even when the newer stuff, it'll still be an adaptation. I'm not sure that joining them would be a good idea. It'll always be A Comments Section of Experts and Newbies.

The Mary Sue. There were a few folks talking about using AVClub for episode discussions.
Though, better writers may mean bigger budget. They hired a..what was it, intern? PA? Who come up with *Olly.*
Oh, I'm advocating a better quality of writing to avoid those lazy rape tropes. Or just not shooting rape scenes. Mad Max did it, and it didn't cost them anything not to have rape scenes filmed, instead implied. To, arguably, better effect.
I thought it was weird, really weird that Dorne and Arryn weren't mentioned. They do exist. Was Greyjoy mentioned too? Riverlands?
I'm not sure I entirely agree. The show is always going to be tied to the books, regardless of how much they diverge. It has felt, lately, in addition to the changes, they seem to rely on a bit of book knowledge to fill in the gaps occasionally.
No.
Imagine an Arianne/Myrcella friendship in the show. I imagine it would have had shades of Margaery/Sansa. Instead we got face sucking.
Truer words never spoken.
