To be fair, we don’t know what she has been doing in the years since 1996. In any case, it’s really not her job to atone for the actions of her father, no matter how abhorrent they were. At least she is publicly condemning him -- that is something.

Last time I was “randomly selected,” I missed my connecting flight. After I was cleared, I asked if there was any particular reason I was chosen so that I could try to rectify the issue. I was told that MAYBE it was because my name was long and made up of multiple parts, meaning there was a higher chance that I could…
When I find myself absentmindedly singing “You ruined everything, you stupid bitch,” I know it’s been too long since my last therapy sesh! Hundro P.
She didn’t win an AMA, but she won the red carpet (and my heart).
“Can you picture Bernie shouting in his hoarse whisper, ‘Thank you, next?’ at Donald Trump? I guess we all can, now!”
Not sure what his US prices are like, but I ate at the original Nusret location in Istanbul and it was actually super reasonable. (But also, he feed and takes photos with dictators, so he’s trash.)
I had this impression of him as well, but he does actually come off as exceptionally anti-Trump on his show. (My husband puts it on, so I observed this against my will.)
Congratulations! That was beautiful to read, wishing you, your husband, and your dad all the best <3
Globally speaking, this movie really dropped at the most opportune possible time. There are so many different protest movements sweeping across the world right now (Lebanon, Chile, Bolivia...), most of which are driven by economic inequality. An“Eat the Rich” street art mural popped up on my Instagram today... taken…
The Fault in Our Stars brought me to literal TEARS on an airplane. I wouldn’t have even considered watching it on the ground.
Wow. That’s a little blatant for my taste. I prefer my sexism ambiguous at least, with that fun “is it or isn’t it?” dynamic. Seriously though, sorry that happened to you — I’d be so mad, watching my coworkers read that shit.
The only tangible difference to me between the two is Sanders’ more even-handed stance on Israel. And the fact that he was the only Democratic nominee who accepted the Islamic Society of North America’s invitation to speak at their annual conference. Those two things probably mean something to members of the squad.
I’m…
This is something I really make an effort to do — if somebody looks good, I tell them. If they used an interesting word in an email, I look up for my screen and let them know it was a cool word choice. If I’m thinking something positive about someone, I try to vocalize it.
I’m genuinely surprised that Jezebel keeps coming for Bernie when there are at least 10 (probably more like 15?) Democrats who have less of a following and yet are still in the race. It’s looking less likely now, but I would still prefer Bernie as a candidate — his platform is almost identical to Elizabeth Warren’s,…
I generally find him to be an excellent interviewer (probably my favorite of the late night hosts), but I will admit I’ve only ever seen him interviewing people I like.
I see what you did there.
Two stories, both of which ended years-long friendships that I truly treasured (but, in retrospect, I haven’t actually missed).
Good for you.
YES. And why were the dancing to a song with the lyrics, “I want a mom who will last forever?” There’s no such thing, but thanks for prompting that realization, Rugrats. Absolutely brutal.
I’ve been anti-Ashton (and Mila) since I saw they both attending an IDF fundraiser. There’s political views, and then there’s literally fundraising for an army that is accused of war crimes every couple of years.
