I’m Palestinian. I am very aware of Clinton’s policies toward the region. Yes, it would have been better.

I don’t hate “That’s What I Like.” I just don’t think it’s remotely iconic or memorable.

It was a fun performance. The Bodak Yellow video is still racist AF, and her “sexy niqab” look is shameful.

Not a fan of her cultural appropriation in the Bodak Yellow video either. Not at all ok for her to wear a “sexy niqab” as a sign of how money she is, and I don’t know why she is getting a pass.

Yes, that would totally be worth a Filipina being imprisoned :/

On the one hand, good for her. On the other hand, maybe they caught that VMA performance where she didn’t sing and just did a strange interpretive dance? (it later came out she was sick)

Ed Sheeran’s album overall was good — not as good as Rainbow or Melodrama, to my mind, but good. ‘Shape of You’, on the other hand, is garbage. ‘Praying’ is a goddamn masterpiece and it should have easily taken the Grammy.

Yeah, the fact that Despacito didn’t win anything is completely insane. Love it or hate it, it was the Song of the Year. Nobody looking back on 2017 is going to be like, “Oh, that was the year of Bruno Mars’ classic ode to how attractive his money makes him, ‘That’s What I Like.’”

In Soviet Russia, sharks have you.

I agree with you, but then you have WANDA SYKES saying the same thing. Mo’Nique might not be a huge draw, but Sykes is iconic.

Getting harder and harder not to by cynical these days. But I hope not — especially, given the fact that a lot of the men being taken down right now were actually undone by their hypocrisy.

So, to recap what you’re saying, diversity is good, but “diverse people” expressing “diverse” opinions is bad. I think that’s basically the definition of tokenism.

I often feel that way too. I’m a Muslim woman and I believe in equal rights and fighting the oppressiveness of the patriarchy, but I know the Feminist movement as a whole would often rather condescend to me, call me ignorant, or whatever else would allow them to dismiss me and my concerns. Do white women in DC want

So I know you probably mean well, but this kind of negative comment to something so powerful comes off as concern trolling of the highest order. Maybe don’t cheapen someone’s words by saying “Oh, I love it, but I hope others don’t use it to say a shitty thing I’m about to say.”

If you’re into dark stuff, Mindhunter (on Netflix) is good, but disturbing af (lots of detailed talk of rape and murder).

Now playing

0:50 for the Mexican jokes and about 5:00 in for the dick jokes (NSFW). I don’t know how old this is, she may have grown a ton since then, but yeah, seems like a bit of a Tucker Max kind of sense of humor. Doesn’t mean it CAN’T be funny, but it can cross the line into tired, needlessly offensive too.

It DEFINITELY seemed like she was playing his disabilities for laughs in the Daily Show interview. But I wasn’t surprised with her lack of sensitivity, because her stand-up is super racist.

Literally just made that same mistake. Fortunately, I am already dead due to Trump’s moronic decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel later today, so the filth didn’t even faze me.

That a was a genuinely fun fact. Thanks.

“But it’s a shame caused entirely by Spacey and his actions.”
