The cool thing about these videos is that you can learn and get better (for instance, if you just honestly don’t understand the hitbox of an attack, which can definitely be an issue in souls games, these vids can help you dodge it). But it’s also great because it shows the raw consistency and precision of top players

I have medical issues that mean my reflexes take much, much longer than most people to develop muscle memory - literally hundreds of hours for some things. The game looks very much like my thing from a story and exploration perspective - I loved Breath of the Wild - but I am not willing to sink full-time-job amounts

It’s not some ethical problem to do these mods, but occasionally the implication that comes through in discussions about an “easy mode” is that the difficulty of the game is all about gatekeeping who can play and has no bearing on things like the themes and even the plot itself the designer is trying to convey and I

Gatekeeping may not be the intent of the difficulty, but it is a consequence, and I’m sure the people who need to tap community resources to make the game easier have an appropriate appreciation that, yes, these guys are extremely powerful. At the very least, they will appreciate the lore more than the people who get

Anytime I play a combat game, I always set it to Easy mode. Difficult combat just isn’t my thing and isn’t fun for me. Easy mode allows me to play a game I wouldn’t otherwise and enjoy all the things I actually love from games, like story, world-building, exploration, etc.

I think you forgot the “/s” at the end of that.

The number of comments saying the same “Well, *I PERSONALLY* don’t understand but good for people who like this!” stuff is hilarious.  Like, we get it, you are A True Gamer trying to blend in with the Normies and not reach for the “Git Gud” hand grenade.  How many cookies would you like?

I can literally spend 4 hours just messing with different build ideas.”

Not everyone has that kind of time.

I often find that people who say the difficulty “makes” a FromSoft game would never have touched one prior to Souls.

But I love how odashikonbu’s mod is the total opposite of Silentverge02's “Prepare To Die” mod, which makes Elden Ring way harder. The Elden Ring community truly shows that it takes all types.

The first part of this sounds like an episode of Pawn Stars.

Good thing you didn't click on it

it might appear worthless at first glance, until you think about the secondary market of providing fodder for blog posts for sites trying to fill out their quota

Ya know, you can consider me a convert. I never did get these Demon Souls games till I actually did. My decision to retry Bloodborne after years of never playing it got me hooked. I even got the Old Hunters DLC. It’s such a fun time.

No chance?  He works for the city.  There’s probably a picture of the councilmember in their building, and I’m guessing they get updates on council decisions on the regular.  With photos.  I’d say there’s a better than even chance that once the councilmember triggered his memory by asking him if he knew who he was, he

This is as stupid, pointless, and sheeple-ish as the ‘Disclaimers and Legal Notices’ that my extended family post on Facebook every 6 months hoping that CopyPasta from their idiot friends will somehow protect them from the spirits of the internet like a Q-Anon Totem.

It’s the kind of critical thinking that *clearly*

Officer Dumbshit though he was being sly playing Disney tunes while questionable policing?

It’s not brilliant at all and never was. It’s the idiotic gotcha that doesn’t really work. There are free or very cheap apps and programs that can adjust the audio enough to dodge the AI if needed. This is one of those stupid meme things that probably got shared in a bunch of secret cop facebook groups without an
