Bullshit. It is great that Emma Thompson is doing this. I think she and the other 40 superstar actors who can do this SHOULD do so. To imply that all actors should follow suit is idiotic. This has, quite literally, nothing to do with the patriarchy - damn that’s so stupid.

Your last line is the most important here. Emma Thompson has considerably more clout than almost every other actor and actress out there.
