Barrel=42 gallons ... for the record.

I disagree, sometimes nothing can be a real cool hand. The financial crisis, oil prices, 9/11... all instances where doing nothing was the right answer all along and the one thing voters wouldn't tolerate. Katrina? not so much, that's the time to roll up your sleeves.
Evo/sti (or any small turbo engine) vs Corvette mpg... look it up. Weight and drag are the mpg killers. Weight is coincidentally the road killer. Tax weight.
who cares... that thing is bitchin!
Do biodiesel and electric car owners pay a "road tax?"
A federal government passing unfunded mandates down to the state, the state passing unfunded mandates down to the local governements and schools. While you make a good point, I disagree with you because each layer of bureacracy is telling the layer below it how to spend it's money. States and local governments have…
What if lower pavement damage led to lower costs for the D.O.Ts? It's like a catch 22. Less damage=lower budget, More miles for OTR trucking=more revenue? (I realize in the end consumers pay for the increased transportation costs of goods but what's your solution?)
We the people don't have a lobby. A lobby is how you hold politicians accountable. Modern democracy is an extremely inneficient proposal. You gather millions in campaign contributions in order to hang on to a $200,000 a year job (plus benefits like nubile young interns, an unlimited travel budget, and a brother-in-law…
We could reduce the legal weight per axle. OTR trucks have to make more trips and pay more fuel tax, rail gets more lucrative, and obviously road destruction goes down from the lower impact of lighter axle weights.
There's no winning against that argument in modern america. Between "if you don't do anything wrong" and the "if only one child" arguments, freedom in america is doomed.
"Ranga McPissbucket" is my orange tabby's new name.
It's a great way to have all the weight, all the length and half the cylinders. Their pathetic long strokes and low redlines sound like the bleating of farm equipment.
Then I click the link and rage at "FWD=innovation"
Three days after the internet was invented, trolls like this were too obvious.
10 bucks says a corvette gets better mileage.
I for one, salute our new minivan overlords plus the floor looks like it'll be easy to hose out.
