@mytdawg: REAL patina cars are the only ones I check out at car shows anymore. Doubly so if they're 70's cars. Quadruple if they're rocking era correct disco vintage speed parts.

@GrannyShifter: You're right. Street racing rich guys with a garage full of exotics tend to have a great track record of tasteful and functional modification.
@Marekoor, What could go wrong?: Even the "big dog" termiglioni stuff bores me. It's like putting a slip-on pipe on a Goldstar. Leave it alone or upgrade to the "R"
@Travis Gohr: So you're a Danica fan? Everyone knows that a decent driver will have a modicum of mechanical aptitude, especially with regard to suspension and overall balance.
Why do people insist on ruining amazing cars? It's like putting those idiotic carbon bits on a Ducati. I WILL PAY MORE MONEY FOR A STOCK 916-998 then one with every gee-gaw out of JC Whitnatelli. I still maintain that if you can't handle modifying your car yourself, it's doubtful you'll be able to handle driving it.
@Isetta: They're already gone. SCC being the one I miss the most.
@I can be stig?: Dude! Take it easy, I just ate.
What a maroon. Hasn't he been watching the news?
@geistkoenig: The Bathurst 1000 was on this weekend and man did I want to watch it. The only alternative to speedvision (which is 99% nascar anyway) is to actually attend the races so I go to 3 or 4 a year.
I always take all my clothes off before I walk through the metal detector anyway (just to be extra safe) so this isn't that big of a deal to me.
Shows like this are why I don't buy cable tv. Hulu/Netflix/NPR, cold turkey. In 2 months, you won't even miss it.
@a1ek5ant3ri: Worse, you could "Gojira" it.
I guess at this point I'll confess I was never going to buy one but I was planning on buying anything Detroit or Toyota put out as a response.
@a1ek5ant3ri: There are definitely some great roads around there but NOWHERE to park.
@pauljones: I need one with the diff infront of the gearbox like the ZF or G50.
@pauljones: From a sales perspective, you may have a point. If you can name an American mid or rear engined car that hasn't died due to low sales, I'd like to know what it is.
@a1ek5ant3ri: Ann Arbor?
It might look like the Aztek's ugly little sister, but it's insanely fast and makes people rage. If I were a moderately wealthy exchange student, I'd already have one on order
@Quattro-luvr: Or mid engine, which is what vette guys have been begging for internally and externally for years.
