That was literally one of my favorite scenes in the show. “Are we Canadian sci-fi? Hell yeah we’re Canadian sci-fi!”
Really? 1 was such a drip and typically bland lead protagonist-type. I thought the show improved drastically upon ditching him to focus on 2 and Android.
I like this version, but the article seems to indicate that Arya DID consider murdering Sansa, and that Sansa only realized what was happening when she consulted Bran afterwards. And I thought it was obvious that Arya, at least, was playing LF, but I couldn’t figure why her threat to Sansa would be part of it. Maybe…
I disagree. The motivations of the characters are clear and consistent in the novels. Littlefinger has plans that make sense (marry Sansa to the Vale’s heir to solidify his control, while plying her with promises of taking Winterfell in order to set himself up as the power in the North). In the show his plan is?????
My thing is that when the show starts to rely too much on the audience filling in these ambiguous logical gaps with their “head-canon”, it’s a fundamental failure of the show.
What needed explaining was they waited to talk to him and why he waited to tell them.
Yes, at last teenage girls will have an opportunity to be sexualized in our society. Finally, am I right fellas?
I still maintain that “Dude, I was 12" is a perfectly fine defense against Arya’s accusations toward Sansa. Robb and Cat didn’t take the letter seriously for a second because they knew Sansa was forced to write it. It’s a non-issue that was dredged up by the writers because it’s a canon detail that an intern noticed…
That’s what I assumed, and that they just weren’t doing it well, but apparently: no. They actually want us to believe Arya and Sansa are stupid enough to be ready to kill each other without a male chaperone to intercede.
I assumed when I watched the finale that the sisters had always been playing Littlefinger, that Sansa was leading him along in order to get him in the perfect position to expose him in front of the Knights of the Vale so she could deal with him and keep their support.
Bran tells her everything she needs to know, and she’s like, ‘Oh, shit.’”
If you’re going to work backwards from the conclusion you want like these writers clearly did, you have to come up with a reasonable explanation as to why the characters would do what they do, and this... really isn’t. It actually just makes it worse. I assumed when I watched the finale that the sisters had always…
The tension there is that Sansa sees herself as Jon’s second-in-command (who really should be running things since she saved his ass in the Battle of the Bastards), whereas Jon is just using her for her last name and doesn’t think she has or should have any formal authority.
When Jon told her she was lady of the house,…
Seems like once Jon discovers his parentage he should and quite possibly will step down as King in the North. He was chosen for that role at least in part on the basis of being the last of Ned Stark’s sons known to be alive, and I doubt his sense of honor would allow him to keep it.
Jon’s abdication would presumably…
That doesn’t explain jack shit. It was obvious they had talked to Bran. What needed explaining was they waited to talk to him and why he waited to tell them.
It also doesn’t help that the After Dark folks keep coming here solely to link their duplicated content to pull the last remaining stragglers away.
I too would like to express my admiration for Jon Snow’s butt, and on behalf of the bisexual community would like to point out that between him, Grey Worm and Melissandre, this season was #1 season for butts. Long live butts.
Fine, but it doesn’t really explain why Arya would suddenly feel all murdery with her sister, and start talking about taking her place to wear her pretty dresses—something she explicitly has been shown not to care about.
Oooooooooooh, that’s dumb. It does not improve the twist, which is already dumb. It just makes it more dumb.
