The past few years, I've been attacking those games of which you speak. I agree. There were some that just weren't meant to be mastered, at least not by me. I conquered the Mega Man series, but the way that the third Ninja Gaiden and Double Dragon games taunt me after having legitimately beat the first two

It's funny to see this posted today. I've been working my way through this game for the past few days, and enjoying the hell out of it. All the fun of the first game, with the new spirit helpers and branching paths really make it seem… "different", somehow. Although having skipped the Sypha path, I suppose I'll

ALL OF the studio audience. So after each joke, there's just this weird, echoey, aggressive Busey cackle coming from what clearly sounds like a mostly-empty room.

Just as long as he doesn't get too pissed about the situation.

I just got to the 5-year-old comments on that one… apparently we're not the only ones.

Thanks for the link, good article I'd missed the first time around.

Hulkster, you'd better get over to the Mr Fuji obit then, 'cause the article refers to him as George "The Animal Steel" and nobody's fixed it yet and it's driving me crazy.

You know, that's a good question. I don't care for Matthews' voice, and I'm not one for jazz-inflected or jam-tinged anything most of the time. But once they stopped being inescapable, it just turned into moderately-inoffensive background pap like Fleetwood Mac, mall-music.

I had a very similar experience with Richard Lloyd at the very same club when he was touring in… '03(?) with Rocket From The Tombs. Must be something in the water there. Maybe less of a "deer in headlights" moment, I hope. Lloyd was very nice, though, and the show was outstanding. Though the opening band could not

"The Purge: The Freshman"

Upvoted for Robert Romanus reference.

What killed me, and I'll have to go back and rewatch, was that I could have sworn he said "Carson", not "Cochran".

John DiMaggio is a good actor and "Pirates Of Silicon Valley" was a fun TV movie, but that thing he wore on his head was so unbelievably distracting, it's amazing it made it to the finished product.

Oh COME ON! I'd JUST cleared that out of my mind!!

"My wife is a slut"?

I loved this show, and I remember nothing but confused looks from most of my classmates. But it was weird and funny then. Now I know why (the staff, the cast). But the whole run is great. Especially by about the fifth episode. After they find their rhythm (like the article points out) but also well after they

That's a biiiiig twinkie.

My stupid POS band got a chance to open for The Dirtbombs in '08. I'd seen them a couple of times prior, and was convinced they were the greatest live band I've ever seen. Getting to share a stage with them at our farewell gig was fucking nuts. People lost their shit. A poster with their name and our name right

*sighs*

I hear he gets it from his butcher.
