Saw camouflaged prototypes of this at Toyota’s Higashi-Fuji test track. Always thought it looked awesome under the heavy camo, good to know it still looks sweet as the final version. It will have an interesting powertrain...

As a former punter, it is very refreshing to finally hear someone else acknowledge this. Every other player gets to make multiple mistakes throughout a game... kickers, punters, and long snappers don’t. Of course, those guys go into things knowing that they need to be absolutely perfect, but it’s always so easy for

The drivability and throttle response of a TDI leave a lot to be desired, at least at 6000ft elevation. A moderate uphill standing start, combined with the exaggerated turbo lag and dual clutch’s lack of torque multiplication... means lots of puckering when you’re pulling out into traffic. It’s okay on the highway,

I know, you get to go backwards through drive-throughs, parking garage ticket booths, etc. Like my buddy did in his OG Mini:

Just because everyone in this thread thinks that perception = reality and that the “issue” is really just a benefit for those who bought the car.... nope. 20~40X the NOX emissions is not just “perception,” that’s a big deal.

“They basically don’t care where you park your car, as long as you don’t pull a BMW Driver and park sideways across three disabled spots.” As a former Toyota employee, there is indeed no such policy against competitor vehicles - and generally people park politely (they even kind of encourage driving the competition,

Enough budget for Isetta????????

Dude.... nice. Good to see some knowledge here.

Always with the mustachios

Dear Doug,

Bill Caswell???

Everyone complains that car companies no longer show wild-ass kooky concept cars at auto shows.

“$100 + $10 (washing, detergent, stain remover, etc.) / 780 days” = $0.141/wear

“Styling”

There’s a small gap on paper... but still a huge gap in the real world. DI turbo gas motors aren’t that great when they’re driving around every day. Thanks in part to the cheating, TDI cars generally meet or exceed their label FE... while DI gas turbo engines generally don’t.

hahahahahahaha

Wish I could star this 1000 times

Ah, good old American infrastructure!

No Isetta??

In other news, they’re planning to rebuild the summit house over the next couple summers... wonder how that will impact things.
