Those Harbor Freight trailers are supposed to come with a title... I saw a guy buy one the other day, and the paperwork (including a title) was in the box. HF had to do some process at checkout, don’t remember details. But I saw a title with my own eyes.

I’m an underling at a very large corporation, and I’ve been involved in several interviews lately. I’ve had to remind the hiring manager that it is blatantly illegal to ask questions about people’s marital status because you’re curious about whether or not they’ll need to take maternal leave at some point. When I told

Hi, you don’t get to decide what people do with their money.

“The things you are saying are much different than the things I believe. You should not say those things anymore, and you should change the way you live your life, because it is different than the way I live mine.”

Thank you for being the first person in this thread to point out that different people have different values and different marriages have different rules, and none of that means anyone is wrong. Geez, people are projecting their own lives onto other people more than I have EVER seen on Jalopnik. Mr. P85D, good on you

I know this reply is very late, but CVTs still have engine braking. Actually, better control of engine braking than a stepped transmission.

I have no-lift upshifts set up on my ‘87 turbo e30. It’s disconcerting, you don’t want to trust it, but it works. At least, it works at breaking your engine mounts ;)

I’m about 4 years in at a major OEM, in a transmission calibration job, and your advice is perfect. I hope the original letter-writer finds your comment.

I had a similar experience when my GF was shopping for a TDI. Salesman was exactly the way you described. Sales manager, on the other hand... what an asshole. We should have walked out on him, the only reason we stayed was to not punish the salesman.

This airport is fine, especially given the context.

:X

Is the wing missing, or just weird camera angle???

For a long time, I've thought that nothing good can come of bureaucratic regulations, but I've realized (after seeing more of the world lately) that it's a people problem. Bureaucracy itself is not an issue, but bad programs (many in the US are, indeed, terrible). EPA isn't perfect, but they are generally doing a good

You're skipping 5 and 6 speed automatics, and since when is a Veyron 1000 CI?

Please explain how fuel economy regulations have anything to do with vehicle bloat in the last two decades. EPA has nothing to do with that bloat, or at least very little, as emissions and fuel economy systems have a marginal impact compared to, say, safety improvements. Which come from a totally different place than
