My comment was referring to Musk, not the automakers. He hates on fuel cells largely because (well besides the fact that they are a competing tech and he is never wrong about anything ever liek seroously guyz) they are a chicken and egg issue (no infrastructure, so no one buys them, so no one makes infrastructure).…
what?
Your username is appropriate, ha.
"[Automakers] are uncertain about the demand for electric cars," says Musk. "It's sort of a chicken and egg problem."
It was great meeting you, Jason! I'll try to do a write-up on my manual-CVT Peugeot moped in the near future :)
Deserves higher than that! Pics????
On the other hand, turbo e30 got 71-80%... hmm. Jason, you may need to tweak the algorithm a bit. Not very far off, but I think a Roundie should maybe trump an e30?
1971 BMW 1602 (Roundie), with 2-liter engine swap, Weber 32/36, slight rust behind the original paint in a few spots, currently swapping in many performance suspension components (currently shocks and springs and many bushings are done, still needs to do sways and offset roll-center spacers and a few more bushings).…

And now you begin the sweat phase. Your over-compensating body-thermometer continues feeding heat energy to your pits and crotch, which in turn begin seeping moisture faster than you can remove garments. And then the lady wants to check that you haven't got a bomb in your iPhone and the beads sluice from your forehead…
Should you be forced to do such a thing, I warn you that your main concern will be temperature management. Detroit residents are accustomed to a wind that can penetrate any known shield, but we pussy Europeans are not. The walk to the halls therefore requires you to wrap up like a nomadic Eskimo and even with such…
Driving the car is the fastest way to heat up the transmission ;)
In an auto, trans fluid will warm up faster (maybe faster than the coolant!) if you put it in drive and apply the brakes. Torque converter heat generation, yeah! Also this will warm up your engine faster, as it needs to make more torque to idle in D than in P.

GPNY is a great track(s)! I'm surprised there aren't more Jalopnik outings there. It's a pretty quick hop from the city. Metro North for what, 45min? Even if you walk from the station it's still maybe 15min from there. And there are plenty of cabs from what I recall.
