Agreed, particularly on the nights on MIAMI VICE, very realistic, but I liked the more, I guess you could say "artistic" nights of his earlier work. But, you're right on with that description of the humid wind…

Can't disagree, like the shot of the wolves, but compared to the nights of MANHUNTER (my favorite of his) and THIEF, they pale, in my opinion.

Although, Mann's nights haven't been the same since he went digital.

I absolutely love Transformers: The Movie. It's not nostalgia either, I think it really pushes things for a kids flick designed to sell toys. There is some really great stuff in there.
