Loved Splinter - now The Root is the only real news site. Jezebel is nasty, snarky garbage. Full of grammar and spelling errors and broken links. It used to feature some damn good writing.

It’s 3:30, people are waiting outside for his ass, and Trump’s still In the classroom cleaning erasers, emptying wastebaskets and asking the teacher If there’s anything else he can do for her.
Ocean’s 11 holds up like a motherfucker. It’s just so effortless and charming and silly.
Seems like AV Club is just as happy to resurrect bashing ‘Green Book’ as Viggo here is to keep defending it.
We get it, the movie’s problematic. I didn’t skip it because of that, but because it looked like it fucking sucked. Nothing I’ve read has dissuaded me from this opinion.
it’s made by and for US born Latinx ppl lmao
Arroz con habichuela is eaten in Cuba, DR and a lot of other Caribbean and south american countries.
Who, or what is a “LatinE”?? Is this an autocorrect error for Latinx?
Yeah I’m all for a little snark and sarcasm but god, it’s laid on so thick in every single article now. It’s just gotten obnoxious and juvenile and I feel like I’m reading something written by a try-hard high-schooler. Then again, the general quality of writing here has gone downhill since the great Kinjapocalypse.
accurately compared to Driving Miss Daisy’s victory over Spike Lee’s Do Tha Right Thing
Question for the AV Club staff: when did the site’s house style officially change to “be so smug and snarky that whatever credible point might be buried in the article is invalidated”?
He’s probably defending it because he was in it, and interviewers ask him questions about it. Occam’s razor, and all that.
We need to find some way to eliminate “I’m just asking questions” from the discourse. It’s not because asking questions is bad - it’s good. The issue is that “just asking questions” doesn’t really do any good if you can’t understand the answers.
Still on #teamnoone here. He’s a dick, and the people crowding a restaurant in the middle of a pandemic are utter assholes.
Do you realize you’ve left 42 comments on this article? Have you convinced anyone? Does that affect your opinion on how good a slogan DTP is?
But a weak reform that gets passed and doesn’t get the politicians who enact it voted out of office in favor of right wing assholes is much, much more effective than a truly radical reform that never even makes it to a vote.
Jesus, did you really just try to “monkey see, monkey do” me?
First, is someone paying you to spend all day commenting on here to defend bad takes?
You’re right. If that’s what you want, it’s not a terrible slogan. It’s one that is highly unpopular and likely costs votes, but hey at least it’s accurate. Meanwhile Trump picked up votes among every single minority group.
“some” isn’t a strong reason to do something
Because these people getting frustrated are upper middle class brats that are in their freshmen year of college. They’re tone deaf.
