More than any other reality show, the contestants on this one seem the most averse to eliminating strategically. They fear being seen as nasty or disloyal, partly because they tend to know each other IRL, and partly because there’s a community of fans that dont let any slight go unpunished. I get that everyone’s in it

agreed with other response - pulling out that sentence for the title makes her seem like she’s saying “I’m sorry you feel that way,” which wasn’t the substance of the interview at all.

the once groundbreaking comedian”

Yeah, great of Garrett to confirm these stories after appearing five more times.

No one really seemed to believe that Ellen could be a terrible person till she partied with George W. Bush at the Cowboys game last year.

I can believe the Ellen stories. And to me - and I’m not saying this to defend her because I’ve always found her show annoying and fake - it says more about the industry than anything else that all these stories are coming out, in the sense that if the non-assholes are the exception, not the rule, then it’s an

Was he on an MTV reality show where he “pioneered” acting like an asshole?

Oh there are comments, but mostly assholes. See grey comment -Racist title” and then they go on, shit like that.

Thrilled this is apparently good if only so we can use it to replace any memory of that piece of shit remake from last year. This is the only Lion King-related project featuring Beyonce! I remember no other!

Wait, hold up.  Some of y’all think I care about y’all’s lil anecdotes? lol  Get the fuck outta here!

If only they voted as much as they tweet.

The chutzpah around here is richer than a four cheese lasagna (and one of the reasons I’ve been AWOL for a month). The Slot and The Root trashed Sen Harris mercilessly for having done her jobs, as SFDA and then CA AG (which she did so effectively she was overwhelmingly reelected in both, and then by a huge margin to

Hell, cadres of non-Biden supporters are trying to derail her being offered the VP slot too from grievances ranging from “She’s a cop!” to “She’s not Elizabeth Warren!”... just look at the comment section on this site most of the time!

I keep seeing people call this karma but this isn’t karma until this POS is on a vent while his lungs turn to stone.

The Mandalorian fucking sucks. It has some of the worst writing on TV this side of “Penny Dreadful: CoA.”  There are at least 30 more deserving shows that could have taken that slot.

Esposito basically got the Emmy nomination for I Heard This Show Was Good. His character wasn’t given much to do this year, and as a result he was considerably outshone by the other main characters, but he’s the most recognizable name in the cast in terms of critical acclaim, so if you’re an Emmy voter who didn’t

If anything, the piece was criticizing the show for filtering its Indian-ness through an American lens that tends to focus on one type of story, hence the comments about the lack of South Asians on the production team, the issues raised by South Asian critics, and the feedback from South Asian audiences.

I have no idea who this guy is,  nor why he’s getting an obit, when the AVClub couldn’t be bothered to do one for Luise Rainer.

Before I even start trying to form an opinion on arranged marriage (or the Netflix depictions thereof), I’d need to do some research to find out how prevalent arranged marriages are in various regions, social/economic strata, religions, etc. in India, not to mention the Indian diaspora. Even then, I’m a random white

I have no idea why people think Climax was good. That movie was hot garbage. The Suspiria remake was great though.
