Autopilot comes standard on all new Teslas. “Full self driving” or FSD (beta), is the $15k joke. Even if you wanted it, you can get it for $199 a month through their subscription service, and at that rate it would take over 6 years to equal the $15,000.

There’s only one right answer.

Same way Tesla is - lower the price of all their cars to better compete, and if there is a middle man, you can provide after sales incentives for the “dealers,” so you’re not screwing them.

I’m actually a fan of their new Livewire electric bikes. Prices are a bit high, but they look pretty good, especially the new S2.

The Uber was a Mitsubishi Outlander, the C-HR was hit afterward.

Was this done by AI?

I see them all the time in Southern Nevada and California.

The Bluesmobile, Green Hornet’s Black Beauty, and Mad Max Pursuit Special are real cars... hell, the Bluesmobile you might even be able to find cheap.

My pet peeve is the dipshits driving with their tow mirrors extended when no towing anything.

The “funny” thing is, that in day mode those screens are SUPER bright. So, not only are they not illuminating the road in front of them, they’re also blinding themselves and destroying any modicum of night vision they may have.

If you have a Costco membership, check them out... They were the cheapest by far and with better coverage and lower deductibles (assuming you’re a good driver and won’t cause my rates to go up)

It should still be a night race, though. Vegas looks like shit in the daylight.

It’s looking like we might get some rain on Friday, too.

Good point, and one we’ll definitely have to see in the real world. My guess is that it will kick on long before you need it, and technically, you could pull over for 20-30 minutes and recharge the battery a lot more.

Nope. The 4XE is a typical plug-in hybrid, where the electric motors only assist the ICE. This design has zero mechanical connections between the ICE and the road.

This is awesome, and I honestly think this is how all hybrids should have been from the get go!

Not at all. This is more akin to a locomotive, than any hybrid on the market. The ICE engine does not directly power the wheels in any way.

It 100% was based on the Eclipse.

Make it 300 miles (which actually means 200 in highway driving) and I’m right there with you. I like the Mazda’s approach though; an EV drivetrain recharged with a constant RPM rotary.
