100% agree. The Rivian is for people who want a truck. The F150 is for people who NEED a truck.
Neutral: I really like the Rivian in the same way I like a lot of cool technology; its novel and stands out; but in reality I trust Ford a bit more. Granted, now that Ford has a massive stake in Rivian, it might be different sides of the same coin. With that said, I still have 3 years left on my Ram lease and I need…
Your neighbor has a supercharged T100? If this was the NA version, I’d be a little more likely to give it NP; but FI (even low boost) on a super high mileage engine gives me stress hives.
I had a 1984 k car. Transmission exploded after about 1000 miles, brakes were toast and I had to rebuild the radiator... but it was also only $400
I let a kid drive my ‘01 330ci I was selling and he tried to chirp every gear.... just SLAMMED it. He brought a cashiers check, so I accepted it. He drove the car home and called me a few hours later. Something broke in the transmission. He tried to get me to give him money back, but based on the way he test drove it,…
He wanted to run it to 500k, but it’s probably presenting problems that will cost close to $2,500+ to fix. I imagine the transmission is close to being shot, it’ll likely need a new radiator and there’s a better than 0 chance the head gaskets and main seals are close to being dust. This is a super clean example of a…
He’s only doing this because the transmission on the Ram failed.
Wow, I wonder what the cops are going to do with that 70 pounds of cocaine.
I think at that scale the weight difference would be negligible. And it actually might be lighter since they could potentially have smaller engines, fuel tanks, and no transmission so it might cancel itself out. Not to mention they could also have regen braking, which would save the operator more in the long run…
I don’t understand why they don’t do this already with big rigs. Even if the diesel motor had to run the entire time, it would be at a constant RPM and likely much more fuel efficient. Plus, NO TRANSMISSION.
My point is that, while yes, it was a pretty good car, nonetheless GM discontinued it. GM is not making it anymore, so it’s a moot point to the question
Volts were pretty good.
No. They make the Eclipse Cross... which should be crucified.
The Mitsu dealer near me sells RV’s... it’s where I bought my travel trailer. It’s actually more of an RV dealer that also happens to sell Mitsubishi’s... man has that marque fallen from the Evo, Eclipse and 3000GT days. :(
Nothing a little vinyl wrap can’t fix... but no doubt there will be a package that costs an additional $1000 to get the chrome delete option... called Night, Dark, Black or some combination of that.
They better bring back this color (along with black steel 15" wheels)!
I’d buy it, gut it and turn it into a dedicated 2 seat overlander... after replacing the 300k mile motor and transmission... maybe go LS
