The problem is this is basically the concept of the new 6... and all but the 1st gen MazdaSpeed6 were FWD... and even that was only mildly AWD. Have you sat in a cheap little shitbox lately? They’re typically built to much higher standards while using better materials than even mid level or even most luxury cars of that era... also, they have at least 6 airbags... those things get expensive.
