Life hack; do agreed on value (like most track insurance) of your car ~5-10% above actual value, so in the event of a total (like this most certainly is), you’re out $0.
If you track a car worth $130k+ and don’t have track insurance you really just deserve the consequences at that point.

Test with a hot car - this has absolutely nothing to do with that the article cites. It has to do with the catalytic converter being hot and functioning optimally.
You don’t have to be at a track to enjoy aspects of a sports car that make it a sports car. You do however have to off-road to enjoy the off-road aspects of a Jeep/Bronco/Etc.
To note however, I track my Lotus and off-road my Jeep.
