Here’s an increased image size for everyone. Like many people, the Buick was my first thought from the smaller image. Using CSI enhance features (ms paint and image scaling) it clearly has some of the features Torch mentioned.

Also, sorry i’m in the grey...

Neutral - Cayman S 40k maintenance weekend!

10 quart oil change, new intakes (upgrading of course), spark plugs, cabin filters, brake pads (obviously need some pagids), and of course we need to do some non maintenance.. Adding a GT3 front splitter and GT4 wing.

Who else is doing car work this weekend?

Oh I totally agree, paying attention to each other and not the road is the biggest factor imo. Just wanted to add some local knowledge context.

It’s actually mind boggling how much of the FL Driver’s Handbook is wrong or super ambiguous according to actual Florida law. (This example is kinda close compared to many

Anyplace on Bayshore is easy to cross.. You have great visibilty except maybe at El Prado Euclid. The overpasses will never happen because the whole point of Bayshore is how pretty it looks and they would drastically devalue the homes that the overpasses went in front of.

First off, this is a tragedy and the idiots should not be street racing, although I don’t entirely believe that given knowledge of the area. The article also points out that the cars “may have been going 60". There are some important things to note about Bayshore Blvd not mentioned.

Pretty sure she’s a Ferrari since her music is fire. Idk the answer to your other questions though.

“For the vast majority of motorists that have a normal daily commute, charging overnight is a non-issue.”

This is a HUGE issue for many motorists, particularly those who are likely to adopt EVs. Assuming people really only have access to charge their vehicles overnight if they have a single family home.

Only around 72%

I’m coming from Florida, so might be a bit bias on the rain thing. The constant headlights and brake lights out is insane though. Pretty sure I’ve seen more out in my 5 months here as the previous 25 years of my life that I can remember. I will need to find one of those shops so I don’t have to remove my Florida tint

You found people doing 60-70 IN RAIN on 440?!? You must have found a unicorn too. I just moved up here and have yet to see anyone capable of driving over 40 mph in the rain around here. “Oh gosh a drop of rain hit my windshield? I gotta slow down to 40 mph or more in the left lane.”

On another note, how do so many

I mean we know it’s at least $2,963 as of last month. You should update the title of each post with the latest price as you go on.

Can we stop calling it an $800 Jeep? How much have you put into it in parts by now? Do you actually keep a log of when everything was changed/replaced and costs?

The GTS comes with a lot of options standard that the S is higher cost (historically) to option out the same. So if you want a high optioned 982 the GTS is a better option to go with, not to mention the manufacturer tuned engine output as a bonus.

The clear answer is get two used cars for the same price as the 982. We have a Jeep to carry the dogs (100 pound Akita and 70 pound pit/husky mix) around in and the Cayman S for fun.

The 981 is holding value / slightly appreciating, what is going to make the 982 hold its value in comparison? My 981CS has the same private sale kbb now as I paid for it from a dealer 2 Years and 20k miles ago.

What are the improvements in UI/Interface/Technology for the newer model compared to the older one? Sport

I can confirm this from the 981, although not necessarily comfortably.

TLDR;
youngtimers - 1980s to 1990s
oldtimers - older cars “vintage”

No mention of 2000 or newer cars though.

Can you fit an actual twin mattress in there?

Curious because during a recent visit to my parents house, my girlfriend and I borrowed their brand new CRV for an event. During which we fit an entire twin mattress in the back with the trunk closed and the front seats not adjusted.

Think remote taxi services. Lets call it PhantomUber.

PhantomUber employees only need a VR headset or company supplied equipment to log on and be a taxi service at any given moment. (Or a playerone style corporate VR room of workers) They automatically can be assigned a company fleet car or can switch cars at any
