The GTS comes with a lot of options standard that the S is higher cost (historically) to option out the same. So if you want a high optioned 982 the GTS is a better option to go with, not to mention the manufacturer tuned engine output as a bonus.

The clear answer is get two used cars for the same price as the 982. We have a Jeep to carry the dogs (100 pound Akita and 70 pound pit/husky mix) around in and the Cayman S for fun.

The 981 is holding value / slightly appreciating, what is going to make the 982 hold its value in comparison? My 981CS has the same private sale kbb now as I paid for it from a dealer 2 Years and 20k miles ago.
