@Tarv: Because iStock has rather stringent limits on what the photos you are buying the license of can be used for. He broke the terms of service, in essence, so in addition to charges of child pornography and being sued by the parents, he could also be sued by the site.

@hvrock13: I have what is considered a dumb phone, and it still has Internet access. The only reason I don't have a smart phone is because I can't afford it, otherwise I would. I still use the very slow connection on my dumb phone occasionally, for things like checking movie times or seeing if a check has cleared…

This all sounds rather dumb. I don't do payment plans; if I can't afford it right now, I don't buy it. So I own everything, and there is no hidden cost there.

This is excellent news. I'm very tired of searching for something and finding literally zero relevant results, because every single page that shows up on the list is just some junk aggregate site that does nothing but link to another aggregate site and so on, in some sort of circle jerk of uselessness.

@CallMeJordy265: Running a current through a coil will generate an electromagnetic pulse, but if the entire coil is that one loop, the resulting magnetic effect would barely be measurable. It's a non issue there.
