@dracosummoner: Bravo, sir.
@dracosummoner: Bravo, sir.
@dreaming neon black: Agreed. I'm kind of disappointed.
It's a shame it took this long for Ubisoft to do anything, because I really like their games. I just don't like their method of dealing with people who buy their games, which makes me not want to buy their games. And AC: Brotherhood looks like so much fun, too.
@PathRifter: I did that with Fallout: New Vegas, since I wasn't sure it would run on my system, or if it would be any good. After about a day of playing, I bought it on Steam and transferred over my save file. Haven't looked back since.
@SotSS: It's why I love services like Good Old Games so much. You get a great classic game, at a really cheap price, fully ready to play on modern systems (something even Steam doesn't do) and there's absolutely no DRM. I have supported them regularly with game sales, buying games I already own again, just for the…
I'm going to add myself to the list of people who need to finish their games. I have managed to finish several this year, but there are definitely more unfinished games than completed ones. I'm just so easily distracte- ooh shiny!
@pandafresh: I think the point is that you should just be aware of whether it was truly the developer's fault or if it was some outside circumstance. I completely blame Squeenix for FF14, because they are a large and successful development company that should know better by that point. Same thing with the failed…
@OriginalGman: The only Steam games I haven't downloaded yet to play are ones from the Indie Bundles. I bought both bundles for just one or two of the games, and have yet to download and play the others. I keep meaning to, and never got around to it. That's a good gaming resolution right there.
@progame13: That's my problem with the games. I don't ever go on Facebook anymore because of the obnoxious requests to join every random new thing that pops up.
@OneColdMonkey: I've gotten a lot better about 1, but I'm still awful at 2. There are so many good games, that if I ever get frustrated at any point in a game, I tend to just give up for the time being and switch to something else. I have probably a dozen games from the past few years I still need to finish. I get to…
@FutileEnd: That reminds me of the saying, "If it's stupid, but it works, it isn't stupid." And I agree with both sayings.
I lost my job, but I got a new one. Overall still a rather shitty year.
@hamster78: Exactly. Pretty much every fighting game seems to be like that. There are tactics or characters that just break the game, but you can either learn to counter those characters, or learn to use those characters if you want to stay competitive.
@CosmicElement: The problem is that they aren't uninformed - they know perfectly well how hypocritical they are being. They do it anyway because despite the hypocrisy and bad press, they are still generally known to the public as a "good" organization, and they spend most of their money promoting that idea.
@dethklokso: A lot of people in less developed countries. They buy them because they have little to no Internet access, so just downloading them would be next to impossible. Buying them new is also ridiculously out of their price range, most of the time.
Camping, spamming, noob-tubes, weapon hogging... all of those things can be annoying and frustrating, but none of them ruin the game for me.
@hamster78: Depends on the tactic - if someone is exploiting glitches and bugs to win, then I do not want to emulate them, I want those bugs fixed.
@soldier148: Campers only bother me if they use cheats or exploits to get somewhere that it's impossible to hit them. As long as I am able to reach them, I'm okay with them.
@SlimK: Maybe being the best is their idea of fun? If the guy still wants to go on raids, there are probably hundreds of other guilds he could have joined that don't require Vent. He happened to be in one that did require it, which means he can't raid with them.
