A week ago I caught a clip of the movie on Youtube (smuggled out of China, I think) and the Youtube host was dumbfounded a just how cheesy it was. My response was that Mulan now has competition for the title of ‘worst superhero movie of 2020'.
K-pop is getting into the Christmas spirit. IU performed a brief cover of Ariana Grande’s ‘Santa Tell Me’ yesterday. Lee Suhyun also covered the same song in full. A commenter quipped that with Suhyun’s cover they were finally able to understand the lyrics.
Whedon was hired to fix a half billion dollar disaster, not coddle the immigrant help.
Reminds me of how the Tesla logo resembles an IUD. Maybe they should’a consulted someone outside of their closed inner circle for input.
According to the other members of the armed forces their unofficial name will be ‘p_cker heads’.
Hopkins had some pretty damned fine performances pre-Hannibal Lecter, mostly on the small screen. Its my opinion that Lecter kind’a ruined Hopkins for Americans in the same way Obi Wan ruined sir Alec Guinness. According to Martha Stuart she almost got laid by Hopkins but Martha freaked a bit at the thought of being…
Whedon was called in to save a half billion dollar sinking ship, he wasn’t there to make friends. He doesn’t strike me as someone who would settle for slapdash performances.
I can’t help but think of all those young women in absurd CW superhero getups and how they’ll cringe looking back on their roles 20 years from now.
I had a night job for eighteen years. I’m more familiar with the cast and plot lines of AMC than I am those old prime time series everyone’s nostalgic for. Too bad they had to poison Dixie Cooney.
Trump’s voted out of office, a vaccine is being fielded. I think the world would appreciate seeing a nice NOT apocalypse movie.
What’s disingenuous about honestly stating what you recall? Do you want them to grovel on their bellies before someone who , by their memories, is presenting an ‘alternate reality’ to the situation?
They dug a hole, placed Mulan into it, then covered it over.
I expect to see a piece claiming ABC airing episodes of ‘Happy Endings’ out of their proper order was somehow related to racism. The failure of that NBC DC-universe series ‘Powerless’ in 2017? Totally (somehow) the fault of racism.
‘Abelist’ and ‘neurotypical’. Your post reads like satire.
Are you equating black people with degraded mental capacity?
Hundreds if not thousands of wonderful trans actors?
What a crock. There was no ‘controversy’ over her original casting choices. There was just a few self-aggrandizing ax-grinders and you. She’s right on every count.
I expect everyone who worked on Heroes knew the show after season 1 was a train wreck. That would naturally breed some tension on the set. Lots of characters on struggling TV shows wind up getting killed off as the studio struggles to do something ‘newsworthy’ to get people’s attention.
Maybe this story has nothing to do with Whedon, maybe Freeform is experiencing financial difficulties. I cannot imagine a network I never heard of before gets particularly good ratings.
