I was just going to write that - glad somebody else did :)

My pleasure, gotta spread the love for this game ;)

Doesn't look like it actually - on the site it says you'll get immediate beta access:

I can't remember the details exactly, but effectively the developers asked for fans/customers money up front via their website to help fund the game as it went along. A bunch of mates and I did this back in 2010 (along with many others too) and have had access to every stage of the game code since.

Now playing

Would have thought the Dexter opening would have made it here too, not only does it superbly set-up the show in a fairly clever way, but they subvert it a few times in the show's run by changing it up (Dexter tired and therefore breaking the eggs, cutting himself etc, they've also made the tune itself play incorrect

Now this is something I can believe...shame it wasn't filmed in a way that made this thought a little more explicit (in other words, it wasn't the film's intention).

Agreed, it looks like a PS2 era game, but I do really, really want to play it. Seems like a LOT of fun.

The design is pretty cool, but this is exactly the type of course I hate in Trials - overly fiddly, and all about technique. I understand why these courses are challenging, and fun for some people, but for me the are too fussy for me to enjoy.

I'm with these other chaps ^ I actually enjoyed the game too. Loved the loot grinding that was possible, and liked the co-op elements.

Heh, I like the analogy :D

Just to be a pendant, the Shadow Broker was space-faring was he not?

I can't recall where in the game it happens, but it's mentioned that even the Reapers would not visit the Yahg homeland, as they're too badass :D

I fully agree, and whilst I normally relish playing more open world style of games, in this instance I much preferred the linearity of Asylum.

The Baconing whilst a Deathspank title, is not officially a Deathspank title (Deathspank name is owned by EA). Hothead actually self-published The Baconing, it's not an EA title.

Glad to see the love spreading then! :)

Nice link - I love this guy. Didn't think Scroobius was getting much love outside of the UK (unless you're in the UK yourself).

ZeniMax acquired Arkane Studios in 2010, and as they also own Bethesda you could argue that it IS a Bethesda game ;)

Indeed, Brick was a brilliant film. In fact, I may have to watch it again tonight.

Oh yes, Gozu was also immense. Apart from the ones we've already mentioned, and some of the obvious ones (Ichi, 13 Assassins), there's only Graveyard of Honor that really stands out for me. I too wish he would be less prolific and spend more time making considered films like these.

We use this term in 'real England' too.
