You’re welcome.

Except those facts do not affect the value except for stupid people.

Regarding Amistadi, if the information he posted BOTH results in affecting the price in is favor AND turn out to be false, then he is guilty of fraud.

I had a guy do this to me once. I sold him a 440 Six Pack setup (Original cast iron intake manifold, carbs, air cleaner, and fuel lines) because they were neither original to my car, nor the engine in may car, and the carbs were nearly beyond repair. Further, i could not even guarantee the parts were original to

The problem is that knowingly misrepresenting facts that may affect the value of an item is legally considered fraud.

Arguing with you was never my intention. It merely seemed like you asked a question of why one build was more common over the other, which I attempted to answer. My apologies if I judged our exchange incorrectly.

A couple of Nissan SR20s would pull a premium one week before Race Wars.

if I saw two XJC with exactly the same specs one with an LS3 the other with an AJ-V8 I’d go for the AJ because it is the more rare beast.

302, 327, and 350 all the same block with the same bore.

The entire custom car and motorcycle business is full of contradictions. Build custom because they want cool and different, then most end up building the same thing.

But it is an uninspired engine choice. Why not keep it in the family with the Jaguar AJ-V8, Bowler pulls it’s from the Jag XKR and has it pumping out 600Hp ... Or for something even more interesting the VR38DEET that sits at the heart of the Nissan GTR

I would say 99.99999% of the people that object have never replaced any engine, let alone done a swap of any kind.

I can’t imagine why anyone would ever try to swap ANYTHING other than an LS into a vehicle.

LS’s and SBC’s are boring, period. Deal with it.

It’s just sad to think that so many cool and plucky engines with much more character just aren’t as good as a motor you can pick up from any junk yard for little cost.

I disrespectfully disagree.

but there is value in unique builds.

Uninspired? No. Unoriginal? Extremely.

This article is more of a joke about how often “SBC” gets thrown out there.
