There will be people who grew up with posters of by-then-already-old muscle picking those off the bones of the elderly/deceased

Yes and No. One of humanity’s strong traits is indeed nostalgia, but I don’t know if Gen X’ers and Millenials will every really have that kind of disposable income. Remember, we live in a different world than that of our parents.

Ya, but someone may actually buy it. For the same reason that people have bought $300,000 70's Hemi Cuda’s. When money becomes no object, people find other things to aspire to obtain. My question is how the generational shift between the late 60's and the mid 80's will affect pricing of rare, OEM, number’s matching

My 1998 Honda Prelude SH. My first wrenching car. Misdiagnosed... everything.

The EPA, yet another well-intentioned government agency overrun by B.S. politics and bureaucracy. The only other more corrupt agency would have to be C.A.R.B., but more on them in a minute.

My 67 Cougar has these 4 piston fronts but, to be honest, I cannot guarantee they came with the car stock. My car also has a 351 Cleveland, which never came in a 67 or a 68.

I feel for Xzibit. There was a show pitched. It looked like it could make some cash. And the premise wasn’t altogether bad: fix up peoples cars that are in desperate need.

Trust me, it would have been cheaper. V6LE’s (with AWD mode) of that generation were notorious for blowing up transmissions. Couple that with My step dad’s poor care of the car and I was left with a car in need of a lot of repair.

My Step Dad had one of these, the 2 seater, in a manual. It was poop brown and the paint was fading, but otherwise, the car was fine. He ended up selling it for $500 in the late 90's because he hated stick gave me a 1990 Toyota Camry V6LE that leaked virtually every fluid it had.

This really makes me miss my old XJ. Over 200k miles and still ran like a new car. Maybe I should go get one...

The new one may be faster, but the older ones are still better.

Your 07 Armada makes a hair of 300 hp? You want 500, bolt on a supercharger. It’ll get you most of the way there on the base setup. Your mileage will be crap, but I’m pretty sure it is now anyway... you drive what is basically a big truck.

A V8 swap that’s NOT an LS?!?!?! Blasphemy!!!!

You are so right!!! The guy had help. He didn’t do everything himself. There was no wheel being reinvented. Build isn’t worthy of a second glance. Burn it to the ground.

Your packing job looks like an episode from Hoarders. :P

Ah the old V6 vs V8 Muscle Car argument. I have seen so many people, friends included, pour countless dollars into both, defending themselves and criticizing the other with the utmost fervor. Funny thing is, it’s all for not.

Probably the worst unexpected issue I had was with a 2000 Jetta I bought my sister. When we bought the car, the previous owners let me know the head gasket had been replaced recently by McKenna Volkswagen. The fact that it needed to be replaced at all concerned me, but it ran well so I figured it was probably fine.

I’ve run some numbers, and my new brakes reduce my chances of dying by at least 33.33 percent (repeating, of course).

Too bad I’m in LA, can’t help. But let me know if you ever plan a SoCal trip.

I was sent to a conference for work in downtown San Diego near the Convention Center. They set me up in the Westin. Want to know what is great about the Westin? Or any other establishment there? No self Parking. And I took my manual 2010 Camaro SS.
