Not a love story but the most memorable car story I have. I was 15 at the time and didn’t even have my permit. A few friends were going to go see a movie (I don’t remember which one) but there was no room in their car for me. I jokingly asked my dad to borrow his brand new at the time 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 extended cab

I had a 2011 135i with the Msport package and manual trans. you want the msport package mainly for the seats and steering wheel. The suspension can be changed but the seats are comfortable and supportive. It was a great car and I do miss it. I got 26ish mpg with blasts on the freeway and onramps often. It handled well

I always turn my motors over as Im assembling them just to make sure nothing is wrong/locked up. But now you know. At least it was some what simple and you realized what the problem was before you tore the whole engine out and apart and attempted to put it back together again. The first VW engine I put together with

I hope they make a mid engine vette but give it a different name like Zora and keep the front engine vette for us poor folks that cant afford a $100k+ car. *disclaimer: I cant afford a new/front engine vette either, but I might in 10 years when they are used.

Does ford require proof that you can afford a GT before sending you a letter? I think it would neat just to be rejected. (that’s an odd thing to say. 14 year old me did not think it was “neat” to be rejected by the hottest girl in school when I asked her to the dance.)

What year was your truck? The 5.9 R/T was only available as a 2nd Gen. Even the regular (non-R/T) Dakotas were available with a 5-speed manual option. The non-R/Ts with the 4.7L v8 and a stick are still quick and I think faster than the R/T stock for stock.

the 2nd Gen R/T were never available with a manual trans. Auto only. Still great trucks. I owned 2 of them. The last one I regret selling, it was an regular cab 03 (last year), I added true dual exhaust, a K&N round filter, ported and polished the stock intake manifold, and threw a superchips tuner on it. It was a

Oh you little Scamp you, no reason to get hostile.

My dad says the same thing or “one more thing to break” when it comes to luxury items. He isn’t an engineer just a cynical asshole who used to work on cars for a living. He isn’t wrong about a lot of stuff but I cant have anything nice in my cars without him pointing out that "thatll be expensive to fix when it

I saw a guy break the axle clean off his BRAND NEW F150 4x4 the other day trying to break the axle nut loose. Not sure how he managed that! The guy wasn’t smart though, he bought a lowering kit for it... YES a lowering kit for his 4x4 F150 2015-16. I didn’t want to stick around to find out the details because I had

the VW bug would be interesting to see especially because they continued to build them in Mexico for many years after they disappeared from the U.S.

Bitchin Rides is pretty good too. Not really any drama or stupid deadlines (occasionally they have them but not every show and rarely are they “impossible”). The banter between the crew seems normal stuff of making fun of eachother (like my friends and I do) and they turn out some pretty cool cars. Wheeler Dealers is

I wanted one of these (still do) for soo long. I had a ‘74 K5 Fullsize Blazer in high school and thought this to be a newer version. While Im sure its not great, it cant be any worse than my K5...

The new BMW shifter is similar except you have to push a button on the top of the shifter to put it in Park. I really didn’t like it in all the rental cars I had. The first time, I pushed the button to put the car into gear but you don’t do that, you just pull the shifter down into drive (as if it were in neutral, 1

This is one reason I liked the Z06. It was the real enthusiasts vette. Manual only, less sound deadening, and more power. Now the Z06 is available in automatic and removable top. Its sad.

My dad had a temper on him and worked long hard hours, so we didn’t spend much time together growing up. My best memory was when I was 15 years old. Dad had just bought a brand new 1997 dodge ram 1500 with the 5.9L V8 in it (pre-hemi). It was sweet and his first brand new vehicle. A couple friends were going to a

I volunteer to go Iceland to help with the diversity...

hahah Im sure it went down similar to this. It was back in 2004.

This reminded me of a time I was in Korea. We got our 4K forklift stuck in the mud, so we jumped in the 6K forklift to pull it out and proceeded to get that stuck... well we do have the 10K, go get that. Yeah we got that stuck too. We had a 50K but decided to tell supervision before we got all 4 forklifts stuck. We

A friend and I used to go offroading in his 82 (I think) Cherokee. It had the chevy v6 and 5 speed manual in it. We NEVER got stuck. That was until I invited a couple other friends out and told them “dude, we never get stuck. don’t worry about it.” It had been raining in San Diego for a week straight. We wanted to go
