ive had hondas, a suzuki, a kawasaki and now 2 yamahas. all relatively easy to work on and completely reliable. i do think yamaha tends to be a little more well engineered

theyre great if you can do some wrenching, and of course buy used and cheap because it will get dropped or knocked over. its a lifestyle and some people are easily spooked with the first incident or close call. ive had a 2 wheeler as primary transport for 35 years, which is why my 15 year old car only has 60k miles

i was the fool when i paid twice what the previous owners paid. $60k in 1998, doubled by 2002, but almost paid off in 20 years. i will enjoy not having a mortgage any more and yeah, im going to be replacing some toys eventually
