Ever since Trump, I’ve noticed a shit ton, and I mean A LOT of projection from anything/anyone affiliated with the Right. It’s kind of a character archetype at this point, probably because most of their base are absolute dunces with no critical thinking skills, empathy, or self-awareness. So they project and steal

Alien and Terminator are my favorite sci fi duologies. As soon as Cameron leaves, I leave.

I wish the producers of the Terminator movies felt the same way.

This part:

Man, I loved The Witcher 3, but I never finished it and never will finish it. I played like a hundred hours of that on and off and by the time I had gotten there they had added maybe 40 extra hours of mid-story DLC on top. I just don’t have that kind of time even for a great game.

My bet is its not even an exclusive at all.  Sony just paid to be the first to announce it.  We will see though.

When thousands of good indie game developers are vying for my gamer dollars, shitty opinions like these help me pare down the list of possibilities to something more manageable. It has been probably said already, but I wish more of these scumbags would speak out, it would make choosing games on Steam a whole lot

It was the basic mechanism that Stasi, the Eastern German secret police used. It’s not metaphorical to say this is some totalitarian bullshit.

honestly I’m fine with them not including a disc with the steelbook. at this point I buy most of my games digitally if I can. a physical copy can only be played by 1 user at a time but a digital copy of a game on my xbox can be played by two people at the same time (one on the home console and one on my actual

The over the top attitude is exactly why I couldn’t enjoy Watch Dogs 2. I have no intention of getting this game, or any Ubisoft game for that matter but this whole “we are awesome, this is awesome fuuuuucckkk yeaaah“ attitude really feels at place with the Ubisoft culture and I can't say I am the least bit surprised.

I call BS on this article when one paragraph starts with:

did you try setting tricks and landings to manual? it doesn’t auto finish landings for you, so tricks are much harder to land.

  • I don’t have time to scroll past the 1000 ads just to read through all of these tidbits of bullshit.

Hmm....seems to me the logical endpoint of this argument is that buying ANY house at ANY time when there’s a housing shortage is worthy of criticism.

Actually it’d probably just had the exact same effect because it’s still buying a house in LA and a person who could afford this house is now going to try and buy a different house and so on and still just pushes the prices up overall (which is why housing “markets” overheat anyhow).

I went down a rabbit hole with Axiom Verge 2 (after enjoying 1) and looked him up on Instagram which then led me to his wife’s page and I was really touched with 1. how proud she is of her husband’s success and 2. how they use the funds from these games to support their special needs son. I wrote a quick note saying

It’s a valid aesthetic. It might just be a game that’s not for you if you can’t play it because of it.

But, maaan, it really looks like the “Atari E.T.” of video game consoles.

Oof. Reminds me of the TVs we had after my dad’s death in Nov. 1974. Before that, we had an aging 19" B/W TV that was typical of the time (here’s a picture of it, with me at either 5 or 6, petting our cat Helen):

It also doesn’t get enough credit for the sheer role-playing opportunities that it provides for a single-player, story driven game. My Arthur was a quiet storm. He was a dandy. He liked fine clothes the color of wine, sketching, drinking, and the arts. But he had zero patience for racists and the KKK and his brutality
