“Super Mario Odyssey” has my full gaming attention, now. I started it a year and half ago or so and wasn’t really convinced, back then. It seemed to simple and overstuffed.

But as I recently started all-over and took it for what it is - a game with it’s focus on exploration and sheer fun of movement rather than a

“... is going to age like it chose the wrong Grail.”

“Zelda” is my favorite game series and “Breath of the Wild” is certainly a top 3 candidate for that franchise in my personal ranking, but a good story it has not. The plot is as deep and complex as Korok puzzles are challenging.

In fact, most Nintendo games do not offer a decent story. I can count them on one hand and

Hmm, I would say, the game I’m currently hooked to. But I normally don’t play bigger, immersive games multiple times, that’s why I can’t give a specific example.

But that is still rather arrogant in some ways and also hypocritical. Because why would you assume people can’t decide for themselves whether they want and/or can afford a new system based on your review of it? Also, you know, there are always unemployed people who like to have a new console and can’t buy it.

Most of the time I pronounce Bobby Kotick “kotig”, which literally means “shitty” in German. Seems fitting.

What a coincidence, that you mention “Rurouni Kenshin”, because just yesterday I started to re-watch movie 1 of the live-action-adaptation. Didn’t find it particular memorable the first time around, but Amazon Prime has the sequels, too, I’ve never seen and the trilogy is generally well received. So, I thought, I’ll

Maybe, I’m not really a fellow, but you totally have my understanding, especially on that conflict about the ”Hogwarts”-game. (But more general, how to handle such situations. I'm not the biggest "Potter"-Fan.) So, take a star.

For the first time ever, an Xbox (Series X) looks more attractive to me than a PS(5), because of that incredible back-catalogue. I’ve never had an Xbox and I’m just eager to get into the “Halo”- and “Gears”-series and I seriously want to play “Lost Odyssey”. But the system sellers are definitely “Flight Simulator” and

Good list, thank you, Zack. It always bothers me, when at Halloween every site or channel comes around with a “Best Horror Movies/Games”-list, which I find, misses the point. Many horror-movies or -games don’t capture that spooky but fun gothic-vibes, which, at least for me, is essentially Halloween. Think “Scrooby

That’s a good story. Here's your star. :)

I don’t play that many horror games, though I like them.

To answer the question; Easily “P.T”. We were three people in the room, when I played it the first time and I still lost my shit. There’s a reason that demo has such a legendary status.

The bathtub scene in “Eternal Darkness” was the first and last time I was so

Still one of my top 3 favorite games of all time. Played it for the first time around 1996 together with my best friend. We couldn’t finish it back then, because some floppy-discs (!) were missing, but we nevertheless had a wonderful time with it and cite it’s dialogues to this day. I found it especially impressive

Well, at least it's not a level made of ass-hair.

Haha, yes! I played the super crappy PS3-version of “Mass Effect” and after 78 hours or so (I’m a slow-ass player and also wanted to see everything in this game.), not far from the end, the game froze. When I restarted the console, I could only load a save game from around two hours into the game.

That headline sounds more exciting, than the actual game. Looks a little rough, really like a “Yakuza”-coat of paint over an unpolished “Streets of Rage 2“. And it’s only avaible for, what, three days? And only on PC, where probably most of the fans of “Yakuza” and Sega’s old-school-output play their games.

Great question, that’s surprisingly tough to answer. I think both still follow pretty distinct design philosophies.

JRPGs seem more technical and “gamey” from a gameplay standpoint and more artificial and artistic in their “clothing” or style. And that’s great. They’re unapologetically videogames combined with the

Thousand thanks for the YouTube-link!

I was (and am) an anime fan, but didn’t give a fistful of wet dirt - or mud as the elders call it - about Poké- or Digi- or Goe- or Rae- or Super-Mon. But I remember that I saw a trailer for it,back in the day and that showed a very well animated explosion, which I didn’t expect,

Thanks to you and all the other repliers. To clarify: My problem isn’t that I now have to assume, that Ancel is “the one to blame here”, which would be equally premature, but that I put him on a pedestal, before, because of what I wanted to see in him and what I see in Ubisoft and therefore I didn’t even consider the
