I’m a man. And almost always when I get the chance to choose between the genders of a videogame character, let alone create an individual one, I play as a woman. Sometimes she is black, sometimes she’s white and another time she’s asian or whatever. I never get the “I’m of this gender, so I can’t identify with a

I have to agree with all who say that the new style for the characters looks too generic and that the original version seems more cohesive and “earthy” in it’s art design. Even the lighting seems better in some places in the old game.

I read that he is a “former Kotaku video editor” casually mentioned in another article and just thought “NOOOO! Shit! What happened?”.

“They are", of course. Sorry!

Pffft! It’s a “Doggycopter”, of course. There are pretty common here in Dogville. Family: Helidogter, Species: Canis lupus aeronauticus

Good choice of movies. “Seven Samurai” absolutely stands the test of time. “Blue Velvet” is very good, too. But my favorite Lynch-film still is “Lost Highway”. “Twin Peaks” is his best or let's say most entertaining, thrilling and fun overall, though.

Joseph Anderson’s incredible detailed critique for the “The Witcher 1"(On YouTube. He’s awesome!), made me continuing my 2020-project to play through “The Witcher III”. I’m alternating with “Bloodborne”, where I’m finally at the same point as five years ago (beating Father Gas-Cognac, which was a huge pain in the ass

Thanks, for the article, Luke. This sounds and looks (it has a really pleasing, cohesive aesthetic) great. I like the idea with the flexible turns and that it focuses on historical older periods. Do you know if it goes to the middle ages?

Thanks, for your detailed reply.

What do you mean by “burnt”? Serious question. English is not my native language and I try to become better at it. As far as Google could tell me, it could be an insult, but also just mean something like “burnt out” maybe from too many samey games. The tone of your reply doesn’t really show any intention to insult me.

I toss a guess in and say it’s because it’s a horribly generic open-world-game, that has a hard time to keep the player engaged in stuff you have already done like a gazillion times in other painfully generic open-world-games. I'm exaggerating, but these are my thoughts about it.

I’m playing “Laughing about this joke over the whole weekend.”. Thanks!

Thanks for the article, Luke. You often don’t know what you need in your life, until someone tells you. And I WANT THIS!

I’m pretty addicted to “The Division 2" for two weeks now. So I’ll probably continue that.

I’m playing solo and on a standard PS4 and the experience is smooth and graphically impressive. It’s also great fun. In my opinion there’s not enough praise for how the developers got the core-mechanic, namely the gunfights,

This game was probably the most “Dead on Announcement” since “Battleborn”. Everything on it screams “No public interest”. I wonder if everybody saw this (despite the developers, obviously), but still acted like “Let’s give’em a chance. Maybe, it’ll be good, eventually.”, because manners.

When someone mentions a JRPG-party to care about, I always think of The Last Story. That game is one underrated gem and the characters feel like family in the end. I really hope Nintendo gives this the remaster/Remake-treatment after Xenoblade Chronicles. This game was awesome and really unique.

Wait, what rumors?

New Super Mario Bros. I Deluxe, Yoshi's Crafted World, Donkey Kong Country - Tropical Freeze (that game is hard, though), Rayman Legends, Secret of Mana and Trials of Mana in the Mana Collection.

As someone who played the original Metroid 2 back in the 90s, at the perfect time, when I just discovered and adored the Alien-movies (I still do, of course), the biggest letdown with the 3DS-remake for me was, that they practically ditched the Alien-like horror-vibes of the original and shoehorned in the style of the

Nice to read. I bought all three Doom-games on Switch for 6 € in the recent sale. I play the first Doom occasionally these days and even that holds up. It’s kinda dumb, of course, but still fun in short sessions. You can still see why this game had such an impact. It's really well designed for it's time, the port is
