Some film buff out there could probably name a white actor that spent most of his/her career playing "ethnic" types. Aside from old Iron Eyes who went whole hog and "lived the role".

The presence of brown ethnic characters pretty much kept Italian and Jewish character actors employed throughout the 40's-80's ish. Examples are the Indians on F-Troop, "Natives on Gilligan's Island (or any Island based show), any fez wearing henchmen, and the lead cast of Scarface except for a (part)Cuban Scott…
Actually, that was pretty much Gandolfini's regular speaking voice. For a more menacing version check out True Romance.
When Watterson's heirs decide to cash in on his legacy, I will lobby relentlessly for Ron Funches to voice Hobbes in the (hopefully) PIXAR Calvin movie.
Regional accents are hard to do. Everyone in US thinks they can do a generic southern accent, but most (even actors) can't. Let alone Georgia vs Kentucky accent. Since nationwide TV,Radio, and etc. are sort of leading to one generic US accent anyway its probably best for shows to shoot for that.
Actually . I am part of an organized Anti Christian movement, and we were going great guns until we formed a bowling team, joined a league and kind of lost focus.
How does liking a multi billion dollar franchise and marketing behemoth make you a nerd? Lucas made what he thought was a one off kids movie into a hugely powerful 30 plus year franchise, and built the most successful effects company ever. A real business channel would revere him.
I thought his American accent was great in nightcrawler. But I heard an interview with a british comic/actor (maybe Russell Brand) who said that almost all british actors have terrible american accents, but its mostly obvious to foreigners who grew up on american entertainment. True or a bit?
You never ever will be able to train a dog to stay off the furniture, the best you can do is to teach them to get down and "act natural" when they hear you coming. So just stop trying.
Mostly elderly zombies would explain why lawns are so well maintained in the walking dead.
I thought the reason he couldn't hook up Walter was "racism". Meaning he couldn't hook him up with a white girl. Repeated by the other kid assuming Walter's girlfriend would be the black girl because "this is the south". Orlando to a lesser extent, but once you're inland in Florida, you are in the southiest part of…
Wait Roger Moore's Bond was straight?
I was being sort of sarcastic. In the relatively brief history of Black sitcoms the white friend is often portrayed as a buffoon. But there's no attached baggage so no big deal.
"White people sometimes have to play semi offensive stereo types"- the white cops from Sanford and Son, ugly white women from Sanford and Son, and that guy that played Roxy Roker's husband on The Jeffersons.
Yeah but its such a tired trope, also hard to actually hit a chain (unlike links in a fence on FTWD). Would be kind of fun to see them try and fail at either though, possibly another opportunity for a ricochet to take out another red shirt.
Locks don't really get shot off in real life. Masterlock used to have commercials showing the locks staying shut after being shot. Also Mythbusters.
On a grasping at straws note, If Zombies were members of the Clean Plate Club there wouldn't be a whole lot of new zombies? Most of the ones on the show don't have that quietly passed in their sleep look.
1946 Strange Love of Martha Ivers. He was about 30 and played an alchoholic wimp.
Well, Penn and Teller have been partners most of their adult lives (since the 70's). Traveling together and working as writers, stage act, one movie, and alot of TV. They may not socialize much, but probably spend more time together than most spouses. I'd say they're friends to a greater extent than Myth Busters.
While there were free Black pirates most were captured slaves who were considered cargo/booty (quiet you!). They would be added to the crew but there was not much former about it and they were usually unpaid and sold when they reached the ship's home port.
